Advertisements show it working on large TVs. If you do not have a laptop with an HDMI port or a computer in a room with a lot of space, then this will not work for you. Immediately had to return it as there is no Android or iOS app and I don't have a portable computer to use this outside of my office where I'd actually have space to do the workouts.

Dear Richard, thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback on Quell. We truly appreciate your thoughts and opinions as they help us improve our products and services. The majority of our customers do indeed play on a TV or large monitor by connecting their computers via an HDMI cord. The Impact's system requirements can also be found across our website which include the playable platforms (Windows and Mac) along with the required technical specs of your computer. Thank you, Team Quell

I am a QUELL supporter who backed the project on Kickstarter in August 2020. In March 2024, I received an email stating that my QUELL was on the way. Unfortunately, I missed the first delivery attempt as I was not at home. Despite staying home and leaving a note with my mobile number for the second attempt, the delivery did not occur, and I received an email stating that a second attempt had been made. Since then, I have experienced ongoing issues with customer service. Although they have been kind, they have not addressed the issue effectively. Now, it is July, and despite numerous emails, customer service has stopped replying. I was promised an extra elastic band as compensation, which appears to be on the way, but I have not received any updates on my QUELL.

Quell is a creative and fun way to get active. It has interesting mechanics for video game lovers while having a wide array of movements for excersie nuts. The graphics are pretty good, and the challenges are... well, challenging! The equipment is nice and the controllers are nicely made. My only complaint would be that there is sometimes lag in the game (and definetly is when connected through HDMI to the TV).

gaming that's worth your time and makes you feel that you accomplishedsomething. I like the product and belt with different resistance bands and the tracking of stats and caloriess burned afterwards and tracking my progression. Be advised though you can't actually install and play on your TV as you need to install it on your pc first and route an hdmi cable, which is actually false advertising from the Quell video commercials that clearly show everyone playing on their TV. otherwise playing on a pc is fine and I'm having a good time with it.

Please add a charging indicator. I never know if it is charging or if it is fully charged or just has barely enough juice left a session. Tapping/knocking or whatever on the Impact doesnt work. The overall battery life is kind of embarassing, about 2-3 hours were promised, i get like 3-4 sessions out of it. Im in contact with your support hopefully it can be fixed. Running and Jumping workes but ducking or sliding is a mess. Same thing goes for healing, it almost always triggers an unplanned hit too. Something that also annoys me is that guard poisiton isnt detected from time to time. This means i get damage even though im holding the controller like in the tutorial video.

Quell was not my first pre-order so hearing that the shipment was delayed multible times wasnt something i didnt expect but ist was will annoying. In October 2023 i was told it will arrive in February 2024, then i was told May - i received it in June 2024 What really was bugging me is that the charger/dock of the Impact uses USB-C but the dongle has USB-A. Why not just use USB-C on all ends? Next thing is the 2.4Ghz Wifi. I was forced to use my smartphone as hotsport so i could do the firmware update because 5Ghz WiFi is not supported. For future updates i will be forced to do the same because i will definately not downgrad my whole WiFi for one device that barely needs it. To leave something positive i have to say the belt is really nice and it is very easy to put everything on.

Quell is easy to use and makes getting exercise less of a chore. The sessions are demanding and it does take a little getting used to, but I highly recommend it. As someone with social anxiety the idea of going to a gym, taking classes, or even just running outside was unbearable. I have tried other fitness apps but lost interest quickly. I look forward to seeing where Quell goes from here both with Shardfall and maybe new games in the future. Merci !

Words cannot express how disappointed I was with the Quell. After waiting over 2 years from placing an order to receiving the system, I expect a polished a rich gaming experience. The game is highly repetitive, basically oscillating between a running simulation and a boxing simulation. Very often the buttons don’t respond when pressed. After my 3rd use, the resistance band broke. I was very grateful that I realized the poor quality of the game and equipment during the 30 day return period. My advice would be to save your money and just get a gym membership.

Quell does a wonderful job making HIIT type of cardio fun and engaging! I stay away from full VR sets because of motion sickness, and this gaming format does a great job of liberating me from a headset while feeling immersed in the game. The motion trackers are decent and there have only been a few times where it didn't log in the timing of my jumps, but overall did not impact gameplay. I am full-on sweating after 20 minutes of play which is awesome! I plan on using this several times per week.

The positive: It's a fun and exhausting expirence that makes me sweat more than my usual workouts. The negative. Tracking is sometimes a little off but that could also be my fault. I'm still rather early in the game i've played like five times so i don't know if there's more stuff in the future but i would wish for a bit more depth. Nintendos ring fit adventure had different items like smoothies that would give you different buffs and healing or something like augmentations for your gauntlets would be fun. Another thing that would be really cool a boss enemys that aren't just stronger versions of normal enemies.

So far, I've used this system about half a dozen times. Each time I've genuinely worked up a sweat and found the idea behind it intriguing. Shardfall is a decent game, obviously there are limits to how much this can assist with getting fit, but used in conjuction with other workouts, this is a fun and engaging system

The Quell lauchner with its first game Shardfall is amazing. Both my wife and I got addicted immediately. It's extrem fun and also very exhausting to play. We play/train for two weeks now and burn more calories in each Quell session than in our normal dumbbell trainings. The turorial is good and you learn how to use the Impact controllers splitted in three training tutorials which is a good pace.

So far my Quell experience has been really enjoyable. Set up was fairly easy. Shardfall is a really engaging game with a few quirks. I work up quite a sweat after every session! Looking forward to updates and future releases.

Largely as advertised, provides a very decent workout. People starting from very low baselines might have trouble with even the lowest resistance settings with Shardfall as is. In particular it’s hard to make progress or not get knocked down a lot with the reaction times and pace required of the game. Some minor detection issues to punches as well. Ultimately this is an early stage platform game with a lot of promise.

I have been enjoying the game and it really feels like a good workout yet it is fun. 20 minute sessoins are prefect and I like that fact that you can extend it if you want. My major complain is motion tracking can be an issue sometimes. Hitting the projectiles is not always being tracked accurately and sometimes when I am jumping and ducking, it is not being tracked correctly either. It can be frustrating when I am trying to make progress in the game. Please work on these tracking issues so the gaming experience will be even better.

Quell is awesome. I pushed hard physically while being distracted by a fun video game. I’m excited to see what else they come up with in the future.

I am a super commuter with an 1.5 hour long drive one-way to my office. By the time I'm off at 5 PM, I am wiped out and I have done every trick in the book to maintain my fitness. I have put my trainers at the entrance, kept all my exercise equipment in the living room, tried to sacrifice my coffee table, etc. I can say that I have fallen off of the fitness track every time. QUELL and Shardfall have changed my life forever. I am an amateur boxer of 2 years and the team at Shardfall has made it possible for me to stay consistent with my fitness routine. I beat Shardfall within a month and I have sweat every single workout. Best of all? I don't have to drive out of my home after changing to get in a good cardio workout. The game and the system are the first of its kind and I can see great longevity if they are able to keep it up with their future titles. Best of luck to them! Pros: Easy-to-use hardware, beginner-friendly, efficient in its use of cardio and strength to create a balanced workout. There's even modifications for those who are suffering an injury. Cons: Sometimes the haptics can be buggy on occasion (the game may lag or not detect certain moves correctly), the adhesive in the waistbelt's pocket for the chest pod wore out after a month (I fixed it, no worries), and after you get stronger, you need to get new resistance cords. I started on level 2 and now I need 3-4. And that's not available in the store yet.
