“I don’t normally right reviews, feel it’s better to tell people face to face when I have had good or bad service. But this time it’s a little different.
I have used this place for 10 years and in that time have built up what I would call a nice relationship with them. Never had an issue with the cars I brought and always found them helpful.
We purchased two cars 2 weeks ago,1 for the wife and 1 for me. Wife’s had an issue that ended up in a disagreement between her and the staff. Not me, this is an important part to remember.
During the disagreement I stepped in to take over and have been nothing but polite and respectful in all my correspondence to Plympton Car Centre. The issue was sorted at the second attempt and all was good.
Now I have had issues with my car since the day I picked it up, nothing major until today. First issue was no audio in the car, something that could be fixed under warranty with little inconvenience. I wasn’t that bothered as wanted to enjoy the car for a week or so before giving it to them. Have called a few times but dates not worked out with having a loan car. Not a big deal but still annoying.
WELL today has changed everything. I have a major fuel leak on retuning home last night. Sent email with pictures so issue can be fixed, or so I thought.
It turns out my wife and I are not allowed here no more. They sent me the warranty info and I had to sort it myself.
Remember that I had zero todo with the disagreement previously apart from keeping the peace.
Now I’m left with a car that has a major fuel leak and have had my consumer rights removed by the director Stewart. He is refusing to deal with either of us and unfortunately only deals with me through the sales manager who if I’m honest is really nice but, it’s only my opinion, is being dictated what to tell us by Stewart.
Stewart has not discussed anything with me or had any contact with me, everything goes through his sales manager. It’s stewart who has removed my consumer rights and as a separate customer from my wife is wrong and unprofessional.
Please be cautious dealing with this dealer , great when you have no issues but I will not be returning, I am not allowed!!
Plympton Car Centre will probably respond to this, just remember that I had nothing todo with what happened and that you have removed my rights. Two cars, two contracts and two customers.”
