“Properfitness closed down today after earning themselves an appalling reputation, they claimed free and fast delivery with prices that were too good to be true.
What was the secret to this? They were drop-shipping from a Chinese wholesaler that does not typically deal with drop-ship orders.
When orders finally started arriving (averaging 20-40 days after payment), reality hit, products were poor quality, poorly fit and after a huge backlash, properfitness held their hands up, apologised and refunded the majority of their orders.
Properfitness initially took down their website, with a message promising to change, to only source from UK companies, with their logo printed on UK sourced sportswear and delivered by Royal Mail with average delivery times of two weeks.
The website relaunched with their much smaller range of custom sportswear, but the same old faux discounts and flash sales (BTW it's illegal to advertise a sale if you don't ever actually sell at a non sale price - Check the consumer protection from unfair trading regs).
A week later and their old site was back up, selling the same products sourced from China and again offering "fast and free delivery" (20-40 days with the potential for customs fees when it does land in the UK).
After a huge backlash on Facebook, the company disappeared with dozens of people's money, refusing to honour or refund orders from their old website. Less than 24 hours later propergymware appears, on the same hosting platform, with exactly the same design and product range.
Caveat Emptor, you have been warned. You will PROBABLY receive your order, but it will be around a month after you pay for it and the chances are it will not match what you saw on the site.”
