“Do not insure your car with QBE.
Not only did they neglect us after paying through the nose for our 450k Mercedes SL63 after it was broken into / hacked into and taken, but they authorised repairs on it regardless of my repeated instructions to withdrawal our agreement. Due to our efforts we were able to get the car back, thus after 4 anguishing months of no car, they decided they didn’t want to pay us out as the car wasn’t completely a write off. They are completely incompetent and cannot make decisions about what to do with stolen cars, but aren’t sure who to send a damaged Mercedes to.
Do not insure your car with them”
“Terrible experience with Qbe. Do not insure with them. Have been a policy holder for several years, no claims. The one time I go to make a claim and they delay delay and delay when they know that every day I was losing money. Three weeks later they are still asking the same questions in different ways. This is their game/ plot to make you wait till you end up paying for repairs yourself. I’ve lost three weeks worth of work and still have to pay for the machine to be repaired. A massive that I provided full maintenance record including one prior to the fire in the machine by only a few weeks, photos, videos, a mechanic report supporting the issue with the fire and still playing games. Would not release the money. Despicable, highly incompetent and disgraceful company. Do not insure with them they will not pay if it comes time to needing it.”
“it will not alloy me to do no star - as i have been waiting for an approved claim now for 9 weeks for payment also there link they have provided is a broken link and hangs up the phone - also will cancel all links with qbe sorry fellers no business from me - i have a better chance of begging from the poor”
“THEY DESTROYED MY BUSINESS
We had a thriving, profitable law firm, with only 1 small paid claim in 8 years (much better than other law firms and I had even offered to repay it), with 24 staff, generating over £500,000 for charity, which I had built up through hard work over 8 years.
QBE trampled our ambitions into the ground and forced us to liquidate over Christmas. Words cannot even begin to express how awful this has been for everyone.”
“We have a combined insurance policy with QBE covering public liability and contents and business interruption on our business. in July 2016 we had a fire and the whole business was burnt down. After 4 months we relocated and started purchasing new equipment to get the business back to normality. At all times their loss adjuster was slow to react and issue any payments. Fortunately we had a good balance and funded most of it ourselves as we waited for the claim to be dealt with. 15 months on despite issuing all of the required paperwork receipts etc we are still to get any business interruption payments under the policy equating to over 80K. As I said we we had a good balance sheet but as a word of caution to anyone looking for business insurance i would recommend you steer clear of QBE if you want to maintain your business level whilst you tackle the trauma of a business loss.”
