“I have been living in the Port Townsend area for 13 years now and have always been a fan of Kroger products . I shop solely at the Qfc stores in P.T., and Port Hadlock, as well the pharmacy in Hadlock. I always tell everyone I meet to try the Qfc pharmacy as it's the best one around this area. However today was taken back when I attempted to purchase some bathroom products with my prescriptions. Apparently the store manager deemed it necessary to scold one of the technicians for allowing patrons to purchase off the shelf items, which I like to do when i fill my scripts once a month. My wife has an insurance card that allows us to purchase first aid and hygiene products with our prescriptions. The only requirement being we have to pay at a pharmacy register. I have cancer as well as several other degenerative diseases and have been going to pharmacies for over twenty years. Every other pharmacy offers to scan any products if I have something in my cart when picking up my medication. I am particularly frustrated about this because I really like the pharmacy in the Hadlock store, due to so many positive experiences over the years and enjoy all the pharmacy staff. It's truly unfortunate that I have to seek out another pharmacy due to the store manager forcing the pharmacy staff to refuse a service that is vital to me.”
