The program’s biggest strength wasn’t the curriculum, but the culture. Everyone was seen. Everyone was heard. Our daughter said that was the first time she didn’t feel like she had to prove herself to belong.

We’re so grateful for your kind words, Catarina. It means so much to know that your daughter felt truly seen and valued during her time with us. At Quintus Scholars we believe that education is most powerful when students feel a genuine sense of belonging, where every voice matters and every individual is encouraged to grow without pressure to prove themselves. Hearing that the culture left such a deep impression on her is a reminder that community is just as important as curriculum in shaping a transformative experience.

Our daughter had never travelled alone before. She was nervous, and so were we. But the team at Quintus made her feel safe and supported. Every update, every message reassured us. She returned with friends from seven countries, and a broadened view of what education could look like. This was a real turning point in her adolescence. It marked a before and after in maturity.

Knowing that she felt safe, supported, and cared for throughout the journey means everything to us. I sat on the Zoom parent info night with low expectations. But as the program progressed, I was blown away. My son described the guest lectures in detail. One speaker had written a book on global health. Another had built a refugee education platform. The message was always: start where you are. As a parent, that resonated with me. They weren’t just building scholars; they were building citizens. My son came back changed. He carries himself with intention. He’s also thinking critically, I’ve noticed it in how he talks, how he plans, and even how he listens.

The debates were fierce but respectful. I loved the structure and openness. Everyone had a voice. The tutors encouraged disagreement as long as it was thoughtful. That changed how I engage in school now. I don’t just wait to be called on, I step in.

As parents, we often worry about whether our children are exposed to realistic expectations. The guest speakers at Quintus did that and more. One in particular, a tech founder, spoke about both his wins and failures. He talked about the loneliness of leadership and the value of emotional intelligence. These aren’t things teens usually hear. But my son took notes. He now keeps a journal, inspired by that session. That’s not just education, that’s transformation. Quintus delivered content we couldn’t have provided even if we tried. It was beautifully done.

Our guest speaker from the AI ethics panel had the entire hall silent. We all leaned forward. He spoke about what it means to build technology responsibly. He asked, "What if your code decides someone’s future?" That question haunted me, in a good way. It made me want to understand computer science from a new angle. I’ve already started researching ethical tech design. The future feels both exciting and urgent now.

My son had the chance to speak personally with one of the guest presenters. It was brief, but it left a huge impact. That kind of access at his age is rare. He described the discussion with such clarity and enthusiasm. You could see he felt seen. As parents, that's all we want, for our children to feel empowered. Quintus made that happen.

It’s hard to put into words how much this changed me. I feel lighter. More confident. Like I belong in conversations I used to stay quiet in. I stopped apologizing for being curious. I learned how to challenge respectfully, speak clearly, and believe in my ideas. That will stay with me.

The woman who spoke about climate action resonated deeply with my daughter. She told me the speaker made her realize activism isn’t just about marching, but also about knowledge. That speaker gave my daughter a sense of mission. Now she’s organizing a project at school. She wouldn’t have dared to try before. Thank you, Quintus, for showing her what boldness looks like.

A documentary filmmaker spoke about the power of visual storytelling. I’ve always been interested in media, but this talk gave me a bigger view. He showed us clips from unfinished projects and explained how to use film to make social impact. He encouraged us to ask why, not just how. After the session, I realized how much I want to tell stories that matter. The speaker said, "Your camera is only as honest as your questions." That one line pushed me into thinking differently. I’ve since started storyboarding my first short film. I never would have had the courage before.

My daughter is usually quiet about school activities. But when she returned from Quintus, she wouldn't stop talking about a speaker who was a former diplomat. She told us about how global conflict is not only about politics, but about communication, misunderstanding, and history. She said the speaker made her feel that even one person can make a difference. That lit something in her. She now wants to study international relations. We were stunned, and very proud. That one session created a ripple effect we could never have predicted. I wish more education felt this meaningful.

When a global climate researcher gave a talk, I finally understood how important my generation’s role is. She didn’t just talk numbers. She spoke about activism, youth voice, and practical action. I was inspired. I realized how much power we actually have when we’re informed and connected. I signed up for a local environmental club right after coming home.

One day we had a tech entrepreneur talk about failure. It was so real and unexpected. He shared how his first startup collapsed and what he learned from it. I always thought success was a straight line. But after hearing him, I understood resilience better. He said, "You either learn or win." I wrote that down and still think about it. Since then, I’ve started building small coding projects. I don’t feel scared to make mistakes anymore.
