What I liked most was that they didn’t over-program. There was room for thinking, processing, and resting. And in that space, our daughter grew. She spoke often of quiet moments during cultural visits when the tutor encouraged them to just "observe and feel." It’s rare to find that in education. She gained not just knowledge, but wisdom. Quintus doesn’t rush learning. It nurtures it.

Thank you for capturing this so beautifully, Martine at Quintus we believe true learning happens not only in classrooms but also in those quiet reflective moments where students have space to think and connect, we are delighted to hear how your daughter found both growth and wisdom in that balance, your words reflect the very heart of what we aim to provide, an education that nurtures rather than rushes.

One museum visit led to a week of discussion at our dinner table. That’s how much impact it had. Our son explained how the history of conflict was presented differently depending on which section of the museum you stood in. It led to an analysis of bias, perspective, and narrative. This all tied back to his ethics class. He suddenly started questioning things with more depth. We credit that to the immersive excursions. They added layers to his thinking. It made education real for him.

Seeing Shakespeare performed live was surreal. I didn’t think I’d enjoy theatre, but the experience changed my perspective. We studied a play, then saw it acted out on a historical stage. That moment stuck with me. Afterward, we reflected as a group and our tutor connected it to leadership and communication. We had follow-up tasks that required us to analyze the actors’ expressions and link them to character development. I never thought I’d enjoy literature, but now I do. That one performance sparked an interest I didn’t know I had. It’s the kind of learning you remember forever. And it’s thanks to Quintus.

I always thought museums were boring. But the ones we visited with Quintus were different. They were interactive, guided with enthusiasm, and directly tied to our lessons. One day we explored a science museum, and we had an assignment that linked what we saw to a real-world sustainability issue. It made me think deeply. Another day we visited an old printing press. That tied into our debate about media and misinformation. I started seeing how everything is connected. The excursions weren’t random field trips; they were learning moments disguised as adventures. That’s what made them so memorable. I still look back at those days when studying now.

When our son returned from Quintus, he spoke more about the walking tours and site visits than even the classroom lectures. That’s saying something, given how much he loved the classes. But he said something I won’t forget: "I understood the classroom better because of the excursions." He explained how seeing things in person made abstract lessons come alive. As a parent, that meant a lot. We saw the change in how he processed information. These were not just passive trips. They were active learning spaces. Quintus designed them with clear learning outcomes, and it showed.

Quintus didn’t just educate—it cultivated a new mindset in our daughter. She returned home with clearer goals and a newfound self-assurance. She now plans her academic calendar with more discipline. But what moved us most was her openness to new cultures. She spoke passionately about a conversation with a student from Japan after one of the excursions. These moments matter. They expand who you are. We believe she grew as a person more than anything. And that's rare.

The diversity of sites visited offered our daughter layers of insight. Museums, libraries, government buildings, performance spaces—each sparked its own kind of reflection. I remember her saying, "I didn’t know learning could happen with my feet." That’s when I knew the excursions worked. They helped her absorb knowledge in different ways. Her essays became more vivid. Her opinions more nuanced. It broadened her worldview in a way regular schooling never did. Quintus added depth.

Cultural learning was a surprise highlight. Our son has always been logical, more math and science oriented. But after visiting a literature-themed walking tour, he started journaling. He reflected on character traits, story arcs, even urban design. He said it made him understand people better. It also improved his ability to connect abstract academic concepts with real-life contexts. It took him from knowing facts to interpreting meaning. That’s powerful. That’s what Quintus did.
