I invested $1,700.00 with Readers Magnet (RM) several months ago to restart my book, From an Outhouse to the White House and then some. I invested the money with RM due to my long term association with Jerry Mayola of RM and formerly with Stratton-Press. I never had a trust issue with Mr. Mayola, until he became non- responsive to me about 2 months ago. I have called him, and text him multïple times with no response! I demand the return of my investment of $1,700.00. Respectfully, Hal Davis

I have been getting calls from this company for 3 years. I looked over the reviews and see positive reviews that all say that they are nice people who are helpful, but there is nothing that talks about results, not increased book sales, no promotional activities, or anything of substance. They have the appearance of being fake reviews. It is also curious that most reviews are 5 stars or 1 star. The only detailed reviews are the 1 star complaints. I think I'll pass.

I spent six hundred dollars with them on a failed campaign that didn't produce one sale. They didn't deliver what they promised. Waste of money.

I have an update about my Reader's Magnet review. It turns out that ever since I completed a written review for them on Author's Lounge, I've been called every few months about a book fair. They should have said this was going to be the case when I signed up for the interview and I should have been alerted because my phone number was required. The last conversation I had with Brandon at Readers' Magnet drew on for 13 minutes. I asked to be taken off the list. He said he was my consultant. I said I had no consultant. He would not give me the reason for the call after I asked multiple times. I said multiple times that I did not have time to talk, but the conversation kept going. He also asked inappropriate personal questions like were my husband and I going to have kids. Did I have kids with my previous husband and also he asked my age. My husband called back after I finally ended the call. He spoke to John who assured him my number was off the list. We'll see if it is. Either way, their number is blocked. Writers beware of this company and don't complete the interview. You should never have to give your phone number especially since they don't tell you why it's needed.

This company is definitely fraudulent. I initially I agreed to pay for their services but because of unforeseen circumstances I had to pull out of the deal, I requested a refund which they agreed upon yet it's been over 3 weeks and I have yet to receive it. I've talked to my contact Jessie through emails and phone calls yet nothing happens, she keeps telling me that I need to speak to her manager for which I said why can't her manager just send me a email with the details of the refund process and get it moving. I have yet to receive a phone call and when I tried answering one a week or so about from them the person on the other side of the line hangs up. I should have taken heed to the negative comments and realise the fraud earlier don't do the same.

A company whose employees refuse to stop calling 'potential customers' even when asked to desist from such calls. Borders on harrassment.
