The customer service is not good. I bought a pair of boots and after two months the heal sole is wearing off badly and they said it is my fault. It is last time I am buying this brand. Completely disappointed. I paid a lot and trust the brand at the end I have old shoes

have been buying Rieker Shoes for YEARS. I sang their praises for the quality, design, comfort. I just bought a pair and was shocked and dismayed to see damage on my brand new red shoes after wearing TWO DAYS of just walking around. There are huge scuff marks on the toe and inner heal where the color is GONE. These shoes are ruined. Rather than being dyed material, it seems that the color was just spray painted on! This is NOT the level of quality that I have come to expect from Rieker and that I rave about. These shoes aren't worth the $89 I spent for them! This quality is what I expect of cheap shoes that cost less than half of what I paid. This quality is akin to something from a Dollar Store. Wrote the company. Received this condescending, smug response: "Thank you for contacting Rieker. We are sorry you are experiencing an issue with your Rieker Shoes; this is certainly not the usual ‘Rieker customer experience’. We endeavor to produce excellent quality shoes that our customers will enjoy wearing for some time. We must point out that your legal purchase contract is with the retailer from whom the goods were purchased. This being the case, the retailer from whom you purchased the goods should be your point of contact. We are only able to assist with purchases made directly through us on our website in the USA. Unfortunately, we are unable to assist with purchases made through a retailer in a different country. Please may I respectfully ask that you contact the retailer. When i tried contacting customer service over chat (please do away with the chat functionality if you do not have someone monitoring it regularly, it is annoying to wait for a response in a chat window), over a period of two hours, agents sent me scripted emails with a link to the return policy saying the customer bears all costs associated with a return.

Terrible product defective, even worse customer service wanted me to fly back to Germany to deal with a warranty issue when they have outlets here in Canada. DO NOT RECOMMENED THIS COMPANY

Rieker is refusing to address the issue or extend any support and is absolving itself entirely from any responsibility, on the basis that I have not purchased the shoes online directly from them!!! Despite informing them that retailing partner concerned is not being responsive, Rieker's shameless reply: "We definitely have no means of dealing with end customer complaints!!" SHOCKINGLY POOR QUALITY OF PRODUCT & EQUALLY ABYSMAL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

I also thought that Rieker were a quality brand but with my experience of these trainers and their customer service (lack of) I have changed my mind.

I am discusted at the service and cannot believe your expensive shoes are only guaranteed for 6 months! Is this true and if so, what has happened to our consumer rights.

Bad quality shoes.....very bad. No service, No warrenty. They are not responding to the form in the website! See picture.

I called customer service, they gave me an email address to write to, I had to send three emails, they asked for pictures of the damages, I sent them these, they replied requesting that I contact the retailer with the receipt, which I had said several times in the emails that I had already did, although I had no receipt.
