I worked for GAP and I can confirm that these doors have serious issues with warping drafts and other defects, the reviews on Trust pilot are not worth the ratings, most of the good reviews are from people who have only 1 Review, the ones that give poor reviews have an average of 3 or more reviews these are the genuine reviews, I have on record an email from the one of the owners admitting they had issues with the Rockdoors, yet they where still selling them knowing they where faulty goods, under the trades description acts this is a breach of contract

At a previous address, I had a fantastic Rockdoor. As soon as we moved home I knew I wanted to replace both doors at my property with Rockdoors because I had been so impressed with them for everything they state on the website etc. Same I won’t be recommending them like I have done previously. This experience has been horrendous and a never ending nightmare. I will never do again and this is still unsolved. I feel robbed of good money, b&q could have supplied a better door for a fraction of the cost disappointed beyond belief! I placed the order in February lockdown obviously understand delayed production and installation. The issues are endless: 1.The installer Rockdoor installer turns up from 20 miles away to find he didn’t check the order and had 1 of the 2 wrong doors. 2.Fits the second door and puts a chainsaw through my internal wall TWICE AND DOES NOT EVEN MENTION IT, HE LEAVES I SPOT IT AS I CLOSE THE DOOR ! I have to call him back immediately. 3. I Inspect the door closer on the same day (fitting day) to find it is pitting and it looks like the door covering is defected. This was also discussed immediately and the installer could only report it back to Rockdoor and raise a complaint. We insisted on a replacement....this is still on-going it is now nearly September 6 months from installation of this door alone! 4. The same door does not lock easily, still waiting for it be resolved. 5. The door(s) we had on order and we have paid for (proof on order )should have been key liked, We DID NOT GET THESE ON EITHER DOOR AND WE ARE STILL WAITING FOR THIS TO BE SORTED ! 6. The front door finally arrives and gets fitted in July, 5 months from order this has now pitted and swollen. So TWO SEPARATE DOORS DEFECTED AND STILL NOT REPLACED DESPITE PHOTOGRAPHIC EVIDENCE BEING SUPPLIED. 8.Due to poor communication and response from the installer had to try and track down a contact ct for Rockdoor, note they give you a 10 year guarantee but no way of easily contacting them.(useless in other words) 7. Eventually got to Contact Rockdoor by email and telephone, done this numerous times but not had returned telephone calls or email back resolving any of this atrocious catalogue of problems! So we have parted with £2900.00 to get two defective POOR quality doors that do not lock properly and left with two holes in my wall that were not there before for that price! Appalling!! 1 star is too generous for this review.

Massively regret getting a rock door. 6 months after it was first installed I was on my 4th door due to the warping and bending in the heat, and i had lost my patients with this terrible company. Dont be fooled by there nice relpys on here as the service I got was far from nice. They knew their doors were rubbish and when their regional manager was here he didnt have any answers for me and knew the doors were rubbish as he was mostly speechless. When they got fed up with dealing with me they sent one of their approved installers around to fit my 4th door. he did a rubbish job and also made loads of claims that the door and frame wasnt fitted properly in the first place, and the company said they were no longer going to honor my warranty unless I pay more money for a new frame. I couldn't be bothered with them any more and just gave up. It was stressful and exhausting dealing with them. Today I noticed the door has bubbled in the heat and is failing once again. I dont want anything to do with this company, I will not waste my time speaking to them if they reply. But if your thinking of getting a rock door j really wouldn't. Learn from my mistake and choose a different company and ask about their warranty and service for faulty doors.

AVOID ROCKDOOR! I have had two black front doors from RockDoor through GX Home Improvements in Chalfont (including a replacement slab). Both have developed a serious issue, where a panel has expanded in the sun, and 'popped' to create a very large and unsightly 'bubble in the middle of the door'. GX want to charge me to fit a another replacement slab. Rock Door have shown absolutely no interest. I spoke to their Customer Services Manager Joanne who failed to understand the needs of her end customers. No support. No interest in their faulty product lines. GX no longer stock RockDoor, presumably because mine is not an isolated case.

My rock door was hard to open when I looked close it is bowed putting pressure on the keep GAP tell me it’s within tolerance ie a 4mm deflection and they won’t help me There advert says the Rock door won’t warp haha my wife cannot open this door and has to use the back door do not buy these inferior products

Even 1 star is too much for Rockdoor. I've had my door changed 3 times so far and it's still warping making it very hard to open the door. I was told the door I have now has reinforced steels and it would not warp, but 3 months after they've installed it the door has warped again. Avoid this company at all costs, not worth price or the headache.

Well on reading other people complaining about rockdoor and having exactly the same problems how do they get away with it I am going to report them to the TV programme which let's all do it shouldn't be allowed to still manufacture these rubbish doors

New self build property. Rear rock door now requires third replacement. Front door now on second replacement. Don’t buy these doors, they are expensive, nice to look at, but they tend to warp badly after couple of months. Did get them replaced by supplier, but had to pay cost of refitting them. I had upvc doors for years in my previous house with no problems.

I bought a Rockdoor from the Maidstone branch of Gap the sister company of Rockdoor, the service from Jane was good, until I complained about the door blistering and won't shut where its buckled, the response was shocking, I paid over a £1000. for this horrible product from a mickey mouse company, if you are reading this review use Rocall or another composite door company, far cheaper and better quality all round fact. just check out there responses to reviews on trust pilot, SHOCKING COMPANY WITH RUDE STAFF

I bought my Rockdoor Door, from a third party company. The company went bust a few months after I got it and have been plagued with problems since. My door won't close properly now and they won't support their product, even though it is a new door. So beware of this company.
