I would never recommend Safaricom services to anyone living in the diaspora. They disconnect your line without caring whether it’s active, whether it has money in M-Pesa, or how much inconvenience it causes you. To make it worse, they recycle and reassign the same number to someone else.
What doesn’t make sense is this: Safaricom requires us to register our lines, yet suddenly you wake up and find your line has already been sold to somebody else—without any notice. How is that fair?
This problem especially affects those of us living in the diaspora who depend on these lines for communication and financial services. Are we even safe using Safaricom anymore?”
