“I was not pleased with my recent rental. I just completed the survey sent to me but felt I should follow-up with the following remarks.
Being given better equipment to use. The scooter would not stay charged after leaving the cruise vessel. I know that the country that I was visiting is not flat land and I expected reduced battery life, but even with charging overnight, I had to push the scooter back to the ship on multiple occasions. The battery showed fully charged upon disembarking the ship, but within 30 minutes, it would be dropped down and show only approximately a half charge. I turned the speed knob almost completely too slow, as the terrain was not level, but this even didn't help. My guess is that the problem lies in the temperature difference. When leaving San Francisco, the outdoor temperature was around 90 degrees and the high temperatures in Alaska and Canada was in the 50's. I own a Victory 10 (4-wheel unit) and have never experienced these problems until the battery begins to fail. I assume that was what was occurring with your scooter.
I received the following email on 05 September of last year (2022):
“GOOD MORNING MR. BROOME
I WANT TO APOLOGIZE FOR ALL THE INCONVENIENCE CAUSED DURING YOUR TRIP. THAT IS NOT WHAT WE STRIVE FOR. I HAVE REQUESTED TO REVIEW FOR COMPENSATION WHICH MAY TAKE APPROXIMATELY 7-14 BUSINESS DAYS. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR PATIENCE. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS. PLEASE CALL 1-888-441-7575. THANK YOU
YESENIA”
And have never received any further comments or information. I will definitely “NEVER” recommend your services to any of my other disabled veteran friends, nor anyone else for that matter. Your services “SUCK” and your customer service are even worse. I depend on a mobility device to get around and I know that you are in business to make money, but if you don’t maintain or replace your equipment when it is worn out (I also know that when a scooter is maintained as with the one I rented, that is just money in your pocket) then the disabled are abused as bad as if you were physically abused. Your entire business is built to serve the disabled, but you are definitely not doing your job. The disabled are doting on you to provide them reliable services and you are not doing the job.”
“My scooter was waiting for me in my stateroom and was easy to maneuver on the cruise ship. Comfortable to sit in and easy to charge. All that I needed for the 2 week cruise was right there. Will rent again from them!”
“Picked up /returned at store location. Employees explained scoot rental and were very professional. Rental return was very easy. Will definitely rent again when visiting.”
“This scooter was WELL used. There were scratches, a bumper that came off, the front and rear horn, and light did not work. I think your maintenance needs a kick in the butt.”
“I enjoyed the scooter. It helped me to get around during my convention. The only problem was when I picked it up from the front desk at the hotel, it was not charged. The person with me had used one before and knew we could push it. We pushed it to my room and charged it.”
“Thank God for the scooter! I would not have been able to get around the cruise ship without the scooter. The scooter was in good condition and ready to be picked up at the cruise ship. Thanks for a great service.”
