“The Scooter was never delivered but I was charged. I was left stranded with no means to get a scooter before the shiip sailed. I had to pay almost twice the amount again in order to get a scooter from the ship”
“The cancellation policy is ridiculous. You should be able to cancel with a fair amount of advanced notices. Cancelled 2 months out and I couldn’t get a refund.”
“I went through four scooters on my 16 days Cruise. Each one had something wrong with it they were in pretty bad repair. And I needed to pay $50 for getting it back to California from Miami and I don't feel it was worth it because I was constantly going to get a different one. Please respond to me as I do need to have future needs for a scooter I just want to be sure that when I get another one it is in much better working order thank you”
“I was not able to make the planned cruise due to a flight delay. I called to cancel my rental, and they said or did nothing in the way of compensation since the reason for the cancelation was beyond my control.”
“Rented scooter for cruise. Another rep said it was available before cruise for our land part. It was a no show. It never showed for our entire land portion. We relied on your so we had nothing else with us. I had to beg, borrow and steal wheelchairs for his use. My husband is a large man and my back was breaking by the time we got to the ship.
On board we received a scooter. Guess what?! It wouldn’t work. The ship couldn’t fix it, so again we have nothing to use. Back to wheelchairs.
I have seen your company’s name numerous times. Believed your were a reliable company. Now I am hearing other stories. SO DISAPPOINTED.”
“Requested a foot rest and gave my specific height and requirements. Was assured that I would be accommodated but when the wheelchair arrived it was not as promised. I had knee surgery and let the representative know that I could not bend my knee and needed to keep it straight. The Representative assured me that there was a foot rest for someone my height. When delivered the delivery person didn't know how to adjust the foot rest and when it was adjusted it was still the wrong fit. Item arrived damaged and the wheel brake was not operating properly. Learned my lesson...Don't order from Scoot Around”
“The scooter did not hold a charge. I spent a full day of my vacation trying to get this worked out in a completely different state then the actual rental was made. The refund that I received was less then adequate for the turmoil, stress and agony of having to deal with you people.”
“The wheelchair was delivered to the cruise ship as expected. However, it was an absolute mess! For the price I paid, I would have expected something in much better shape. The right wheel was so worn out that it could barely be pushed on the carpeted hallways and rooms. The left wheel bearing was shot, and it made a jerking ride same a clacking noise. My father was very heavy, hence we rented a bariatric chair, and the condition of the chair made the entire week miserable on we that had to push it. There is no possible way I would ever rent from this company again. The rental was almost as expensive as buying a chair and throwing it away at the end of the trip. And, being on a cruise, there was nothing I could do once we were onboard. I contacted the company after the trip but go no response. Awful, awful company.”
