How would you rate
"Seher Resort and Spa 5*?
Totally deceived by clever photography.
Having been to several 5* hotels in Turkey, Seher does not compare in fact it barely makes a 3 * hotel, and having spoken to one of the decent staff he claimed the owner actually bought the extra stars.
Where to start.
The rooms are tired and small, we had a 2-bedroom room, under the beds had never been cleaned, the shower drain was overflowing due to blockage which was reported to reception but never fixed.
The towels and floor matt were frayed and old.
The beach towels were better, but we were told to change them would be a charge each time.
Th bar drinks were clearly watered down, especially the Efees beer, we bought Efees at other bars and there was a notable difference in taste.
The staff were rude and unhelpful in general apart from a couple. The gym was very poor with very old equipment, no water supplied and no AC.
The advertised Disco, internal pool and piano bar is only open from October. The pools were tiny and inadequate sun loungers.
The food was horrendous, repetitive, bland, reused from previous day, cold and no decent meats, IE no bananas, Salmon (or other decent fish), chicken breast, but all very cheap food. They do not replenish the food when cold, but leave cold chips to be used up.
There were very few English people there, mainly Germans and Russian’s who did not Know what a queue is.
One of the British guy was there with his young daughter whose birthday it was, so he ordered a chocolate cake (40 Euros) for her and some friends, however they bought her a fruit cake, so they had some and there was half the cake left over so he asked the bar staff to offer it to the other guest when they had some tea etc. To his dismay he saw the staff eating it and none was offered, so he went up to the older pool guy and said " did you enjoy the cake?" The guy answered rudely and said he can eat any cake he wants everything is free here. But the British guy said he paid extra for the cake.
Anyway he reported it to an English speaking German rep who says she would look into it, however after 2 days nothing so he went to reception and ask to speak to her, but she had the day off and there was no record of the incident. He asked them to call her and when he spoke to her, she said the guy apologised, however this was not to him and they did not compensate the cake. since then every time he went to the bar for a drink he was ignored as the guy told all the other staff.
This is just some of the stories, I would advise anyone to NEVER use that hotel."
