“I’m not local, I live in London but came across your wonderful Instagram posts on churches and history and then saw that you were also running a lively and lovely looking bookshop in Frome. I have also discovered I had relatives living in Nunney for generations so decided to buy a book to help you reach your target. I hope you do. Book arrived quickly. Good luck and thank you .”

“This is the best litle bookshop I have come across in a long while. I have yet to visit in person, but a trip to Frome is definitely on my list. I ordered a book earlier this year to send directly to a friend and asked if a short message could accompany the book. Unfortunately the books are packaged by a third party and this was not possible, so instead they sent, separately, a lovely card which arrived on the same day as the book. My friend was delighted. What great customer service, thank you!”

“Living in the US I was concerned about purchasing abroad for books, but my fears were unfounded. I ordered three fabulous books regarding history, including the Ango-Saxon time period. I like the variety of titles that are available, but more importantly the curation that is done to promote new items as well.”

“The books I’ve ordered from Sherlock and Pages are unique in their selection and variety. If I didn’t happen upon this site, I would’ve missed some incredible writing, memoirs, travel, and personal experience narratives. It’s my go to bookstore even though I live in New England. Well done guys.”

“Love browsing your bookshop albeit virtually! It’s not actually any bookshop, in an idyllic part of the World, but a true mesmerizing experience for anyone loving heritage and all things connected to it! Bravo! Can’t wait to order again, albeit from over Europe, post Brxt, customs fees apply!”

“I love in Boston, Massachusetts and have ordered twice from S & P. Shipping rates from the UK to the US were reasonable, and shipping was fast. S & P carries books I can't find here in the States and they make ordering easy. I could order from Amazon.co.uk, but I won't--much prefer to support independent booksellers like Sherlock & Pages.”

“Sherlock and Pages stocks books I don’t find anywhere else. My interests lie in medieval history and architecture and personal accounts of walking ancient paths. I live in the US and shipping is always fast and the books have arrived undamaged.”

“I love the concept of this book shop, I’m hoping to visit next year and have a good browse around. I purchased Wild Atlantic Women and am thoroughly enjoying it. I’ve travelled this coast a number of years ago but had no idea of the famous women that lived along it so it takes me back to my own travels and reminds me how glorious the Emerald Isle is. I also purchased it for my daughter who lives in France so she will have something to read on her journey at Christmas to Singapore, Sydney and then a catchup with her sister, my youngest, who lives in Melbourne. She’s really looking forward to reading it as she met her French partner in Galway.”
