About Simply LED:

Our mission is a simple one: to make it easy for you to find high quality, low cost LED light bulbs.

Buying light bulbs can be a complicated business at the best of times, but it need not be. Our team has over fifty years of experience in the lighting industry, so who better to help you find what you’re looking for? If you have any questions about LED lighting, we can answer them.

We’ve always believed that high quality doesn’t have to mean high prices, so we are passionate about offering good, reliable LED light bulbs that don’t cost the earth.

We source all of our lighting ranges from reputable factories, and every product has to be up to our strict standards to go on sale on our site. If we don’t like it, we won’t sell it.

“I ordered down lighters and some led bulbs from simply led, I have used these guys for years as their products normally last well and are well priced, much cheaper than the DIY superstores and much better quality products. Everything always in stock and delivered to my door with 48 hours, what else could you ask for?”

“I've used SimplyLED for a couple of years now, as I've been trying to make our home as energy efficient as possible. LED lights are still evolving, but SimplyLED have very good information and much better than you get in a typical lighting store. But I do wish they stocked dimmable candle bulbs - I guess the problem of dimming LEDs is yet to be solved.”

“Oreder process was easy, delivery was swift. However they sent me the wrong items, but as soon as I reported it, they sent me a returns pre paid postage sticker by email on Friday. By the time I sent them back on Monday the replacements had already arrived. Any company can make a cockup, its how they deal with it that matters.”

“Ordered 1 bulb and days later I got a refund with no explaination. I emailed asking why it was refunded and got a reply saying they were short staffed and were just getting round to emailing people. I checked the site the bulbs were still showing in stock”

“5 stars for the product quality and the service. The prices are high, however, and having to wait for the next in a constant stream of special offers, before ordering at a more reasonable price is annoying. 1 star lost for that.”

“We have Simply LED lights in all rooms in our flat in all shapes and sizes and are totally pleased with the product, service & advise over the past year. I placed an order for 2 x Lights over the Bank Holiday Weekend and misread the Delivery Note and thought the price was wrong. I emailed SimplyLED and within 24 Hours Nicole from Customer Services replied very diplomatically explained that the Price was OK, additionally I had not activated the discount of 20% due on this Order. This was raised and the amount Credited to my Card. The lights arrived next day & all is fine. The way this was handled was a credit to SimplyLED and Nicole in particular.”

“We have used SimplyLED for several purchases over the last couple of years. The GU10 bulbs that we have largely purchased have a higher lumen rate and a wider angle of beam than many products that are advertised. The delivery is very quick and if you are unsure you can chat on the telephone to confirm that you are purchasing the item you require. Highly recommended.”

“I bought one GU10 LED NxtGen LITE. Website and delivery were good with P&P incl in the price. This bulb's spec was as detailed as the SimplyLED website says that EU regs say it should be. Other bulbs on the SimplyLED website aren't this good. SimplyLED need to practice what they preach - if they haven't got the full spec on the website then don't sell the bulb. As far as I can tell the product I bought matched the spec - obviously I won't know about the 25,0000 life expectancy for some years yet (I hope). The difficult thing about LED bulbs replacing their halogen equivalents is the light colour (or its the perception). I have bought a cheaper GU10 LED bulb earlier and found its light bright and harsh with a slight green tinge - which I now understand is relatively common for LED bulbs with no CRI in the spec. The bulb I bought has a CRI of 82 and the light doesn't have the green tinge. I now understand that the rule of thumb is that LED bulbs must have a CRI over 80 and that if there isn't a CRI stated in the spec don't buy - at any price. The bulb I bought is nominally "warm white" but is significantly whiter (and/or brighter) than my existing halogens. LED bulb suppliers need to be more up front about this problem. Possibly offer a "trial and return" service. Also because parameters like CRI, colour temperature, and life expectancy, are very important but difficult to imagine how they are tested/measured, some detail on the website about SimplyLED or the manufacturer established their values would help build confidence in the product (not pages and pages but something better than hand-waving generalities). Having said all of this, SimplyLED offer the best combination of website, products, and prices I have found and I 'm happy with the service and product I received. I like their espousal of the EU regulations in this area. I will buy from SimplyLED again”

“Having recently bought some 'dimmable' LED lamps from Simply LED, which had been a very easy and efficient process, a suitable dimmer was needed to control three such lamps in a chandelier. This was duly ordered and the service I received was again first-class in every respect and the dimmer worked perfectly. Following these experiences, I will be ordering more lamps as well as at least two more dimmers from SimplyLED every soon. In consequence, I can thoroughly recommend the company in every respect.”
