SKY broadband customer sold mis sold Giga Speed for £45 got it cancelled today under ofcom trading standards ACT 2015. Refused to refund the over charge amount for the 10 months.

SKY are a bunch of thieves. Sent an engineer last year who couldn’t do his job due to health and safety. They had money taken out my account which I thought was a very big jump in price of the broadband I was using. I am now moving home to find out that they were charging me for SKY TV which I never had. Now they can’t refund me because I asked for the SKY tv which they did not complete.

Cancelled over a year ago and moved to a new provider, I was under the impression that my monthly payment would stop but they have been stealing £50 a month from my account for over a year now. I phoned them up to ask them to stop the payments and refund me the stolen funds. They just claim no record of cancellation and refuse to refund the stolen funds of over £700. I would like to insert some good swear words!

They told me not to cancel my direct debit as they wouldn't be able to refund me.

Bear in mind I have been paying my SKY subscription at the higher pre negotiated price all this time and I have had no Broadband/ Internet, no telephone landline, no internet, no SKY TV, no catch up, no Netflix, no Amazon Prime (all paid for), no account access, not able to use any smart controls, no TV access in any other room, change of mobile provider, new contract cost, stayed in on 4 occasion for Open-Reach, I had a call (2 rings) and message left 2 days ago and the Advisor told me my complaint was closed and my refund calculated had been sent to her Manager for approval.

Start the process again to be told you will get a refund for the time since you swapped providers and SKY had continued to take money out of your account, so they transfer you to do this and you get a vile, sarcastic patronising Scottish luceille ,who then says no way are you getting a refund you've infact got to pay them another month! She was having none of it and even said " I'd struggle with my bank paying two providers as well".

When I rang they said they acknowledged there error and would refund within 72hours, a week went by and no refund.

I have been trying to cancel SKY movies for the last three months. I get connected to their off shore call centre in India, who either promise to cancel and refund or the bounce you around to different people in the call centre. So far I have been over charged nearly £60.00 and awaiting refund. I am waiting for my contract to come to an end and totally leave SKY.
