“I ordered the viral sleepy belly pregnancy pillow from baby bunting but I had to return it, my bad I didn’t realised it was made from synthetic materials and the smell really didn’t agree with me, the pillow was comfy but there was a smell to it that my pregnancy nose couldn’t agree with”
“I think think is only made for smaller people. I have configured multiple ways and on the longest part of Velcro and again last night I woke up nearly winded with the pressure it put on me, my back, my bump. I'm about a size 16 and wouldn't recommend for my size. Really wanted it to work because the material and size is lovely but unfortunately not. Onto the next one.”
“I couldn’t be happier with both the product and the company’s customer service. At first, my boyfriend accidentally ordered just the pillow insert without the full set. When he reached out to the company, their team responded quickly and were incredibly helpful. They not only cleared up the confusion but also offered a discount on the full set for the inconvenience—super impressed with how responsive and considerate they were.
As for the pillow itself, I’ve tried a few pregnancy pillows before and always felt like they weren’t quite right for me—until this one. The Sleepy Belly pillow doesn’t feel bulky or overwhelming. I love that it comes with two smaller weighted pillows that stay in place and make it easy to switch sides throughout the night. It's the first time I’ve felt genuinely supported and comfortable while sleeping during pregnancy.”
“I love that it's fairly small in comparrison to other pillows, so that my husband can still get in the bed and we can still cuddle and be close to each other. I also like that it's fairly easy to move around and resposition in the night. However, I don't like the main feature of the two small pillows stuck together. I find this very uncomfortable and restrictive. If I've slept like that, usually fitfully, once I take it out, I feel so much freer and more comfortable as it's been restricting my body and my bump. I find the two smaller pieces quite hard and my belly will sometimes end up squashed underneath one of the pillows or squashed on the side. I do like spooning the longer piece and/or putting a small pillow between my knees to help align my back better. I also use either a small pillow or the longer piece behind my back to stop me from rolling onto my back which does work quite well. I haven't used any other type of pregnancy pillow, so I can't compare to any others. I personally wouldn't really recommend because for me it isn't comfortable enough for the price. But, every body is different and others may find it more comfortable.”
“The pillows do not stay together with the velcro, I tend to end up on my back because they split apart.. the pillows themselves are great and supportive, i just found the velcro do be a huge let down.
I also wish you could change the placement where the long pillow connects to the belly pillow.”
“I've always been sceptical of anything labelled for pregnancy! But, I saw Sleepy Belly at a baby expo a few months ago, and you could lay on a bed and try it out- so I did! It felt amazing, genuinely helped my hip pain on my side. So I purchased! I tried it the first night, and got rid of my 5 other pillows I had been using 🙃 . The first night wasn't amazing sleep, which was dissapointing as I had high hopes, but I still woke up sore a little bit less than normal. So kept adjusting the pillow setup, looked up the how to videos and persisted. By night 3, omg, bliss 😊 I worked out what works for my body and now only wake a few times a night (70% improvement on previous wake up counts). Highly recommended giving it a go and seeing what setup works best for your body to get a decent uninterrupted run of sleep! Now I can get 7hrs sleep quite consistently and only wake to roll over a few times and visit the bathroom!”
“This was a sleep saver for me in the third trimester. Gave me peace of mind not to roll on my back and helped get as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend”
“This is the best maternity pillow i ever had because the filling is making its so special. Its quite firm and does not mush by our heavy pregnant belly. Worth every penny”
“I think that if you're a petite, short and skinny pregnant woman this is great for you. If you're 5'9 and size 18+ then you might want to think twice before purchasing this. The fabric that connects the pillow to the other attachments is quite short so you'll probably wake up trying to readjust it to get comfortable. I found the lack of space between the attachments would actually dig into my belly which is really uncomfortable. I had really high expectations based on the amazing reviews but if you're a tall and large woman I would think twice before purchasing.”
“I absolutely love it. It has saved my back pains and haven’t gone a night without it. However the “earthly smell” smells more like weird sour cream. It eventually leaves after a few days of using it. If you’re a plus size, I’d recommend checking the measurements first as it may not cater as I don’t consider myself very big but it only just caters to my size. Unless they sold an extendable strap for the pillows. Apart from that, best purchase ever”
“I am 24 weeks and still don’t find this comfortable. I am hopeful that when my belly grows further it will be a great product to use but for now it’s collecting dust unfortunately.”
“I was so excited to get my Sleepybelly. Somehow I went through my entire first pregnancy without a decent pillow, so I knew that this time around I had to find something comfortable. Since getting Sleepybelly I’ve slept so much better. I love that it’s so versatile and also dense for maximum support & comfort. Telling all my pregnant friends about it!”
