“My project was projected by the salesperson to be completed in 1-2 days and fully operational by the beginning of July. It will be November in a few days and the system is still not operational. The crew has been here nine different times and still needs to return at least two more times before the installation will hopefully pass inspection. I will then still have to wait for my local electric company to change out the existing meter. There have been long periods with no activity on the project and it is nearly impossible to get confirmation on a date for anything. My contact with the company often tells me the team will return next week, which then becomes the end of the week, then maybe the weekend, then the following week, and so on. I have taken off work only to see no one show up. At other times I have suddenly been told they will return the next day, which is too late for me to be available. I had to unload the panels from a truck myself, at the request of Solar SME on the day of delivery. The delivery driver nearly dropped them off the back of the truck. I was then urgently messaged later that night by my Solar SME contact asking me to unload another pallet when the truck returned after 9:30 PM because the driver forgot there was one more. When I complained about the whole situation, my contact comforted me by telling me their company might receive a free delivery from this company for my inconvenience; not sure how this was supposed to help me. The panels sat in my driveway for almost two months. This seems like a small company that is over-promising. Their profile on EnergySage said they were located 50 miles from me but everything seems to be in Texas. I’m in PA. I’ve tried to be patient but this has been extremely frustrating. I have never left a negative review for any product or company but felt compelled to offer a warning to any potential customers of theirs. Very nice people, but very unreliable.”
