Absolute shambles of a company 3 months waiting for a refund and several calls and emails and WhatsApp been told 3 times refund is issued and not a thing zero communication. Do not use this useless company

I'm owed more that £700 in credit and the day i call to clarify the credit going up on my app they say the refund has been placed on hold and then the amount is incorrect.

I called them to rectify this, it took over half an hour on the phone for them just to tell me I should call my bank and they'll get the refund for me.

This is terrible customer service, I will never be using SSE again and telling all my relations to never use it again. The only reason I know my SEE home services account still even exists is from you taking money directly from my account. Ridiculous. No refund, no options offered just deal with it.

Just spent the past hour on the phone to SSE because I topped up my meter yesterday and apparently I’ve used all the credit whilst I was at work! Called to get this rectified, the girl told me I “haven’t topped up since the 10th”, I told her that’s wrong, over £78 has been topped up since the 10th… Her reply… “where are the receipts then?” ON YOUR APP THAT YOU MADE ME DOWNLOAD TO TOP UP!!! So £78 can’t be accounted for… then suddenly, it has been accounted for, conveniently after I asked her to refund it to my meter… Asked to speak to a manager… No manager on shift… Asked to speak to a supervisor… No supervisor on shift… She kept taking her headset off and leaving it on the desk when my husband was talking to her… I told her the dates I topped up and she laughed at me… “You do realise energy prices went up?” She says, like she’s talking to a 5 year old child… Still waiting for my complaint to be dealt with from last time… They’re over the time limit to reply to me… So I guess it’s a case for the ombudsman now because being dismiSSEd and disrespected on this level is a actual joke… AVOID THIS COMPANY.

Can't even find enough negative words to describe how bad SSE and Ovo are! I have moved house over 4 weeks ago and want to close my account and a refund of my credit.

Second issue since moving out, I was advised I will be getting a refund for nearly £500.

So can’t give money for electric or refund apparently so effectively top-up, with be lost.

Usless people lack of the English vocabulary think SSE employ people with bad English so there can play thick when owe you money back charged me for gas when I didnt have a gas line to my home only had electricity with them and wouldn't give me my 540.00 credit refund I was owed due to my faulty key meter

Completely Incompetent , no one i speak to knows what they are doing , refund of nearly £400 to be paid after 10 working days but still waiting after 12 days, called again they said i wasnt in credit even though money had been taken out of my account this morning , person didnt know what he was doing and im now apparently having to wait another 10 working days , the number of calls ive made are ridiculous and time wasted actually runs into hours with no resolution !!!
