“I would much rather leave a stellar review, but unfortunately after my hip surgery, everything care related went downhill! Dr. Huddleson and the surgical team were wonderful, but I have to say that the hospital staff did very little. I was in the hospital four days after surgery. Physical therapy only came once to get me up. Nurses had issues with my insulin pump which the care team endocrinologist had set up. There was an issue with continuous compression leg pumps that were to go home with me. I was kept an extra day so the distributor could get them to me. The next day, I left the hospital at 7pm for the three hour trek home without them. Suddenly, the PA that said I had to have them did an about face! Today, I had a 10:45 video follow up appointment with another PA. I woke up at 8:30 and called because I did not find the link. It is now 11:30; I have called the Sports medicine ortho department four times. No one seems to know what is going on, and I am stressed to the max!!! That, unfortunately, has been my experience with Stanford Health Care!”
