“A wonderful resource for the classroom. Great for teaching newsreport writing. Extremely motivating for reluctant readers or those who are more keen on non-fiction.
The children love the puzzles. It was invaluable during 'lockdowns' as it provided a wealth of reading material. “The children love reading the papers and look forward to our delivery every week! The news is relevant and engaging - the children can't wait to share things that they've read about with me! All the news is written in an age appropriate manner and has helped to inform them about various issues within their world. Within KS2, we also loved entering into the speech writing competition that had been organised by First News - the newspapers are engaging our children as readers, but also inspiring writing opportunities too.”
