“Supercheap has always been my favourite fabric shop, but this most recent purchase has really put me off. When the fabric arrived it was evidently synthetic, so I did a burn test, lo and behold it burns like acrylic, and smells like acrylic. I contacted supercheap fabrics to let them know their customers might go up in smoke but they confirmed that no, the tiny bit of polyester in there was making their wool cashmere behave like flash cotton. (Polyester is not particularly flammable, wool is flame retardant. Neither wool nor polyester smell like burning meat when you burn them) I asked if I could exchange my fabric for the emerald green wool cashmere, which per the website contained none of this oddly flammable polyester. The woman on the phone said she'd get back to me- next minute the emerald green has been updated to 19% polyester, bringing it to a grand total of 109% fiber content. Value for money right there. This illustrates that scf does not do their own testing and is prepared to lie on their website. When I made the trek from Berwick to Collingwood to return the fabric, the shop assistant argued with me further about the fiber content and tried to refuse to return the fabric, despite having been the one to tell me I could return it in the first place? Eventually I talked her into it. My name is Rose, incorrect name listed on email (my bad)”

“Just bought a nice navy blue crepe fabric and charcoal microfibre fabric to make up palazzo pants. Both fabrics have a beautiful drape and look superb. I made these for my daughter's friend overseas. Once again, beautiful fabric at an affordable price. xx”
