About Superior Driveways:

Superior Driveways is a family business that was established in the nineties and is currently owned and run by Darren Skillin. Darren has an enthusiastic and hands-on approach to running the business and is involved in all aspects from preparing and installing driveways himself to dealing with all quotes and enquiries personally. Darren also helps to run the office side along with his wife and Mother-in-law who between them oversee the administration and accounting. At the moment, Superior Driveways currently has a dedicated team of 7 experienced installers split into two independent teams.

Darren has been in the industry since 1996, when he was one of the UK’s first installers of pattern imprinted concrete, learning the techniques and technology as it came over from America in the mid-90s. Darren originally bought out his old boss, George Glover back in 2001 to continue running the business upon his retirement along with the existing partner. Due to ill health his original partner had to leave the company but Darren kept the loyal staff and set up working for himself in 2008 and has slowly built up the business over the last 7 years. Darren is a devoted family man and is without a doubt a well-known installer of this product in the UK.
Darren has been involved in many commercial projects local, regional, national and international with projects in Hampshire, Scotland, London, Spain and Portugal. Superior Driveways has a diverse and successful portfolio of large installations, but has chosen to remain true to their roots and focus their attention on domestic installations. Darren has twice been a prize winner for the PICS Golden Trowel Award (www.picsuk.com) a national award scheme hosted by Britain’s leading product manufacturer and adjudicated by the Concrete industries leading specialists.

Wankers They are utterly useless, they seal driveways just 2 days after laying the concrete, then all the water gets trapped causing light grey patches all over. The Boss is a true space cadet who thinks he's hard, but in reality he's a Wuss

BEWARE BUNCH OF COWBOYS!!!! Individuals with very limited intelligence Job looked just about ok after they did it. But then again it would look OK, it was covered in a thick layer of high gloss sealer which soon turned to a blotchy white mess of bloom due to the trapped moisture being released from the curing concrete. Not long before all the problems occurred, blooming, due to sealing right after concrete laid instead of allowing curing first. Resulting in trapped moisture under the sealer...schoolboy error. Took many years, for me to try and fix it. Couldn't understand why driveway was cracking around manhole covers, until Utilities company inspected and found "Superior" driveways had placed 4x2 softwood under the manhole covers. To support a heavy manhole cover...., the "Tools" who did the job, must realise wood actually rots, causing a collapsed manhole cover, which had to be knocked out and a proper lintel fitted Lucky for them no injuries occurred as a result! Otherwise I and a few others would be looking for them! Not enough expansion joints either, causing more cracking in other areas. Concreted path right upto wall of house, and made it lean slightly toward house, so now water pools against house, then down into foundation wall causing damp, and who knows what else! Dips on driveway causing water to pool then green mildew follows, causing dangerous slippy areas due to the mildew. Want more?? Oh I've got 2 A4 pages! And collapsed manhole, verified by utilities company, if needed. Driveway has been down for a long while, most reviews are from people who may have just had their driveway installed...you wait a few years then see if its still nice. The driveway and path looks utter garbage, an Abortion!! Would I have them back......NO WAY! UTTER IDIOTS!!!!
