“I ordered a tartan throw in my family's clan plaid for my son and am very pleased with my purchase. It is a gorgeous quality product that came beautifully wrapped and quickly, too, especially considering it had to travel across the Atlantic. I like that I had the option to add a monogram. I can see the throw being something he has for a very long time, passing it down to his children as an heirloom.”

“My blanket arrived beautifully packaged and looked just like the picture. Keeps me so warm (without being bulky) and looks very stylish. I also opted for the embroidery and I'm so glad I did because it looks so high end. Very happy, have recommended to friends and I think one of the scarves would make a gorgeous Christmas present.”

“Nice blanket but smelled horrible. Really damp and musty. Washed three times and now a faint odour remains. Will be fine for outdoors/car but wouldn't want to put it on a bed. Emailed seller but have not had a response yet.”

Hello there Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review and we're really sorry to hear about the issue with the smell. What you’re smelling is lanolin (or “wool wax”). It’s a natural oil sheep produce that give their wool that super important waterproofing property. We soak all of our recycled wool in vegetable oil to break it down before washing, but for some woolly blankets, the lanolin scent just happens to hang around a bit longer. We're sorry to hear that popping it in the wash doesn't seem to have helped. Usually we've found that this works a treat, however you may find airing outside will do the trick to get things freshened up for you. “I ordered a large recycled wool blanket. Excellent service - the blanket was dispatched the same day and delivery was quick. The blanket was nicely packaged but unfortunately it was a little too heavy and the wool a bit too 'itchy' for my liking.”

“MY HEART IS SO WARM! I adored two gift boxes, one for my dad, one for my mum, with embroidery, notes, and two other gifts, and the quality and compassion that went in far exceeded my expectations!! (and a mustard recyled-wool herringbone for myself) The notes were HANDWRITTEN, everything was wrapped so beautifully, and they arrived (in the Canadian interior, through Fed-Ex) days before the expected delivery date! The embroidery is stunning, the hand cream excellent, the shortbread DELICIOUS, and the recycled wool knee blanket and lambswool scarf are absolutely, supremely cozy. I had forgotten extra shortbread came with the notes, and it made me smile even more”
