“We got an ensuite bathroom done totally, and the flooring done on another bathroom.
Quote:- The initial quote was given by Geoff, who seemed to be pretty clued on. His was the most expensive quote, but we decided to go with him nevertheless due to recommendation and he seemed to know his stuff.
Start date:- The job started on the agreed date, unfortunately we didn't see him much after that, he put his son Tyler on the job. Tyler is a nice enough guy, but really out of his depth without supervision. The work over-ran by about 2 weeks, it was slow and inefficiently done.
Quality:- The quality of the finished product was very good , we were happy with that, but due to the delays, Tyler had to go do other jobs in between.
Communication:- was a mixed bag. Geoff was brilliant responding to messages and phone calls, but on key things like messages on when Tyler would be or would not be turning up, when the tip rubbish collector would arrive, we were left in the dark somewhat.
Issues:- There were some issues with regards to a pump which stopped working 9it worked before but something went wrong) which we got another person to fix. There were one or two other issues during the task which were addressed and we were charged, which was fine.
Politeness:- again a mixed bag. Generally very polite and pleasant throughout but we were really shocked to receive a message which was totally inappropriate, simply because I had insisted the job be completed on a particular day (due to Tyler's other commitments we didn't want to be held up again and in the dark as to when it would be finished). This message from Geoff, was extremely offensive in fact and we were quite shocked to be told we were being offensive to ask for the job to be finished on a specific date, In fact throughout we were incredibly patient.
Payment was done immediately without question.
Would I use him again? No I would not, especially after his offensive note. Would I recommend you use him? It's up to you, but I would check that Geoff is not putting his son on the job without his direct supervision.”
