“Well what can I say 🤬 I booked to celebrate my granddaughter’s 6th birthday because my husband and I had enjoyed the Sunday lunch the previous week however when I booked for this week I wasn’t informed that children are not allowed to play in the garden. However on arrival we were informed the children could go outside, but to be mindful it wasn’t a play area, which was absolutely fine, as we all know kids like to be outside, they are definitely not unruly kids either but if I had been made aware of this when I booked the week before I definitely wouldn’t have chosen the ‘pub’ (it is not a high class restaurant). What made it worse was the fact one absolutely lovely waitress was very sympathetic and explained in a polite manner the reasons but then came along an officious rude member of staff who said “this is not the Hobby Horse” well at least at the Hobby Horse the kids would be welcomed and not made to feel like second class citizens…. I couldn’t believe it I was absolutely stunned….we left immediately … very disappointed to say the least and hungry.”
“Bought a lamb pie at a craft fair. Looked lush and couldn't wait to eat it. Salty as he'll! Spoiled the pie . Too much salt. Tasted like the sea. Presentation was first class , bit into the pie and " WTF" salt galour. If you love salt go for one of these pies. Pastry nice filled with salty filling. I think salt should be put on by the eater how much or little they like. Sorry, it looked wonderful and sounded wonderful but, yucky salt spoiled it. £5.50 pie in the bin!”

Omg it was beautiful and delicious. Would highly recommend. Staff were super friendly on telephone ordering and again when collecting.
All the veg and trimmings were fab. We also had apple pie and lemon meringue pie but had to save for later as was too full.”
