“Extremely disrespectful staff member. He misled me about the size and age of the product to make it sound more appealing so that I would place an order. I only ordered because of what he told me, but after realising the meat was from a much older animal than described, I called to clarify. Instead of addressing the issue, he denied what he had previously said and gave contradictory explanations before abruptly hanging up on me mid-conversation.
The product was also significantly overpriced for the very poor quality received.
Do not visit this terrible establishment.”
“Extortionate price for a standard tasting turkey. Too small and failed to informed me the payment charged was deposit only payment. Appalling business practice. Will tell everyone I know about this, so they do not get the same treatment.”
“Went in there one afternoon to purchase a selection of sausages, and after standing there for a couple of minutes, caught the eye of the nearest server and began to give my order, when he cut me short and nodded towards the butcher on the other side of the shop who was busying himself, and told me he would take my order. After a minute, he walked over, without making eye contact, and wrapped up 2 sausages, walked back over to the till, and called out the price. I said I hadn’t finished giving my order, to which he replied he had only heard me say two pork sausages. I didn’t bother giving the rest of my order, and couldn’t get out of there quick enough, I was made to feel an imposition, the momentI stepped through the door. Will not be returning again.”
“I ordered a rolled and boned turkey for 3 people, paid a non-refundable £20 deposit and got a full turkey packed in a box. With 10 people waiting to be served, I didn't want to make a fuss. I took the turkey I didn't order and paid £ 74. Somewhat puzzled and upset, I forgot to thank and say "merry Christmas" to the lady, who in turned managed to place two inappropriate sarcastic remarks in front of everybody. Miserable experience.”
