£300 for roughly one hour work

I wish I had spent more time researching the different options before booking this company. Douglas was very prompt in making me an appointment, I did not check the cost prior to booking as I had assumed he would charge by the hour. He told me it would cost £300 on the morning the joiner was due to attend – I assumed that it was a big job. He had implied he would come himself but did not do so although the joiner he sent was very efficient and impressively effective and completed the task in an hour.
I queried the bill and was told That he would’ve charged even more had he realised how much work there was!
I paid the bill and put it down to experience but I wouldn’t use them again and I wouldn’t recommend them to anybody unless you value efficiency over economy. £300 an hour seems a bit steep to me, no matter how convenient it is.”
