“Absolutely blatant disrespectful treatment of clients. Pathetic and UNSAFE product, unhelpful staff, horrible experience all-round.
This company shows no morals whatsoever, happily take your money, do not care to hear their client’s complaints, and refuse to escalate issues to their executive team. Full of promises that they will do the right thing over the phone, but in writing the attitude is dismissive, like I was wating their precious time for them taking my money to fix their poor product!
I am going out of my way to ensure that as many people as possible don’t have to receive the same shocking treatment I did from this hopeless and rude company.
I was stranded after one of their vehicles had a faulty battery – I had to make a plan to get back to the airport, more than 2 hours away from where I broke down. What if I broke down in a particularly dangerous area? What if it was dark and I was by myself?
After buying a brand-new car battery in a desperate attempt to make my flight to get back to my family, Thrifty has consistently refused to pay me back for the battery. All this after their so-called roadside assist was not able to help me.
Disgusting pathetic service, zero regard for their clients. And have the cheek to blow me off, and get a free battery worth over R1000, after giving me dismal service and an unsafe product.
I highly recommend not even engaging with this shockingly bad company.”
