“We have used Saffron for around 5 orders now. The website is great and easy to use, as is the checkout process. The quality of the food is also generally excelent. On one ocassion there was an issue and the support team were happy to help. Delivery is also well communicated and always as promised. Overall, thoroughly recommend Saffron Alley as a place to shop.”

“I am a repeat customer for Saffron Alley. The prices although is a bit more expensive than going to the local halal butcher, i feel is worth it considering the ease and convenience of not having to travel. It saves time for people like me who dont drive and live quite far from the local halal butchers. Freshness is never an issue. I just wish they'd get more variety of poultry- restock the duck, and maybe geese too!”

“I ordered a steak box and smash burgers, the best meat I've ever tasted. We all tried the smash burgers and bites of all the steak cuts they were all very good cuts of meat. Definitely recommend One thing to improve on is the delivery method - I was not sure how long product was held for in delivery process with dpd.”

“The chickens are very tasty and fresh. It looks bigger and cleaner than chickens in local halal shops. Have had no problems with delivery and customer service is professional. The price is also reasonable and better than other places. This is where I order my halal organic chickens. Thank you very much JazakAllahu khayr”

“The Chicken from here is like non other I've tasted, its delicious! As a fertility massage therapist, I always advise my clients to stay away from chicken which has been injected with hormones and preferably go for Organic, thats why Im so pleased that Saffron Alley do both! Also its really important that we choose halal and also TAYYIB. I would like more information on the rearing of the chickens but so far I am please with the quality which I feel reflects the rearing of the animal.”

“Happy with the service and the quality of grass fed halal meat and have been ordering weekly. Had delivery delays at the start but it was resolved quickly and very happy with the customer service in dealing with the issues.”

“The chicken products have been generally good. And based on this, they should get a 3-4 star rating. Customer service is however an ineffectual joke. Their standard procedure is to say that they are “sorry that you are not fully satisfied or happy” with whatever is the problem. This is the kind of non apology apology. It is the equivalent of punching somebody in the face and then saying that you are sorry that their face hurts. It is an apology which is no apology and is designed merely to act as a psychological tool. They think they’re speaking to stupid people. They will however, never rectify it or do anything about it because the person that you end up speaking to has absolutely no power to decide anything. Twice I’ve had issues with the delivery; one time it was insufficiently packed with ice so that it was beginning to come to room temperature by the time it had arrived. I called them and told them about this and they just said oh we’re sorry and will take that on advisement of course nothing else after that. The second time I received the package which had a lot of chicken in it and one of the bags of chicken was in fact not properly sealed and so the juices from that chicken ended up on the other bags, and there was a question about its preservation because of this. I called and emailed with pictures and videos and was told it will be escalated to the people who can actually decide anything and they’ll get back to me. Of course they never got back to me. They did nothing about the fact that they sent an unsealed raw chicken package to me. Because they have in essence, absolutely no customer support or service I cannot recommend them and will never be buying anything from them again.”

“Fresh, tasty organic products with the added convenience of delivery to your door. As a Muslim trying to be a more conscious consumer, I appreciate Saffron Alley's vision and their commitment to sourcing meat that comply with their ethical guidelines. Love that the ice packs are eco friendly too (you can use them for your plants!). Halal should be good for our bodies and the planet and the company seems to care for both.”
