“First the good:
I ordered two complete pakages of the 10’10" Allround SUPs and they (nearly) arrived in the three promised days. My son and I took them out straight away and they are excellent well balanced boats.
I’d upgraded my paddle to a bamboo version and it feels great and looks good too. Both paddles are extremely strong with very little flex. It the last week we both paddled Llyn Padern in the shadow of Snowdon with a tremendous headwind, it was hard work but the boats and paddels did their jobs superbly.
Now the bad:
I mentioned nearly receiving my packages…. One arrived without a leash inside the box so I e-mailed and phoned asking for one two be sent.
The phone is never picked up, you just go to answer machine and I find this obstructive, I ‘d have been happy to wait on hold but thats not even and option which makes me think the phone line is not manned. The emails seem to be read once a day and the response was right at the end of each day. They seemed to not believe me when I said the leash had not arrived and it took over a week of back and forth emails (could have been ½ an hour if they had picked up the phone or responded faster) before they finally sent me a new one.
I have since been on the sea and the board reacts well in a resonable swell too.
One minor point to alter would be to add a demarkation line on the 3 parts of the SUP paddles so now matter which extension you have it at you can always line up the black with the grip.
Overall, great product but only an average customer service.”
“I have finally found a company that can supply good quality aqua fit shoes at an affordable price.
I have now purchased a total of three pairs and they have excellent grip on the swimming pool floor.
The great thing about them is that they are lace up so when they start to stretch you can lace them up tighter to provide a firm comfortabe fit.
Brilliant for practising water tai chi.”
“Let's start with the good. Delivery was quick and customer service replies prompt. The products looked adequate, no thrills, but surprisingly well fitting for a budget suit.
Now the bad. The footwear on the site is presented in UK sizes. I, as I'm sure anyone else who has ever ordered clothing from the internet would do, selected my size from the UK sizing dropdown menu. The boots I received were one size up from the UK size I ordered.
I spoke to customer service who said that despite listing UK sizes, they had made the decision to send out the US size equivalent. So, order a UK 9 and you get sent a US 10.
In TBFs defense, there is some small print on the website to say they made the misleading and bizarre decision to send out another country’s sized product (FYI, I live in the UK and as far as I can tell the company is based in the UK).
Mislabeled and misleading product information aside, I was happy to order replacement boots in the correct size. TBF would not waive the delivery costs of new boots or the return of the incorrectly sized boots. I returned the full order at my own expense, which left me out of pocket to around the same amount of money as it would cost to reorder correctly sized items.
The whole process was annoying and costly in time and money, and this shameful approach to customer service in such a crowded market place I felt was a thing of the past. Would 100% not recommend TBF.”
“Great quality wet-suits for myself (adult) & 9yr old. Quick delivery, and no problems when we had to return to adjust sizing for the child-sized suit. Website was easy to navigate/no glitches unlike several others we tried. Would definitely use again.”
