“Terrible terrible pain! In the beginning it was great, very comfortable, supportive and amazing on the back. The comfort stage did not last very long. It only took about 2 years for the structural integrity of the mattress to begin to fail (if you read Tempur complaint reviews on Trustpilot there is a pattern where most people begin to complain on the 2-3 year mark).
My husband and I are of average slim to medium weight so it was not due to extra pressure being placed on mattress. After only two years we both began to experience terrible back and hip pain, and in my case pain which conversely led to terrible migraines.
We filed a claim under the so called 10 year guarantee and a third party technician came to asses the mattress. He found the mattress´ structural integrity had infact disintegrated at no fault of our own. Despite this, Tempur rejected our claim and refused to replace or refund the mattress. Considering how straightforward our case was, I can only imagine the amount of cases Tempur rejects for a refund, and I can only imagine this is due to the fact that they are aware of the structural issue with their product.
We mistakenly assumed that investing a decent amount of money in a mattress that claims to be ¨Nasa technology´ would mean the mattress would be of superior quality and would last longer than other more reasonably priced memory foam mattresses on the market. This could not be further from the truth. Don´t waste your money. Tempur´s products are faulty (we had similar issues with the Tempur pillows we bought), and their business practices are unethical. The 10 year warrantee slogan is a marketing ploy which they will NOT honour.”
“Nothing is too much trouble for this company. The standard of customer service and after care can only be described as outstanding. If you want a good nights sleep you have to have a Tempur Mattress but get it direct from Tempur.”
