“Too many Role Play assessments. Nothing is learned by writing a script, getting someone else to play along, sometimes multiple people, finding the time to co-ordinate, recording then moving on. It’s a waste of time. I can understand one every so often but multiple every unit? Tedious and not enjoyable learning.”

“Placement and role plays very hard to do in aged care. You should use facilitators to visit students on placement to see them in action. Know idea how I’m going to pass my final leg! Got a call Friday end of my first week to say I need to get them done … you’re starting next week, no I’ve completed my first week only 3 days left! I was coerced into adding disability o to my cert but wish I hadn’t. Told 6 hrs a week study ha more like 15hrs a week with a full time job”

I am 3/4 of the way through the course now and I am glad to have chosen the self paced option. Once ypu become familiar with the platform, the course is easy to navigate. There is a commitment to many role play videos being submitted which would have been good to know at the start - as finding suitable people to help is a lot of work as almost every unit requires a video of some description.”
