“Wikimoderators has been stringing me along for over a year. Initially they promised that they had expertise and could get the page published smoothly and quickly. After I paid the initial $1000, they tried to get me to pay more for special protective services. They put on a really hard sell for these extra services but I declined. For over a year now I receive regular emails describing all the review processes necessary, but no response to my questions about how soon I will see my listing. At this point they are having a hard time coming up with new reasons why the page I paid for has not been published. I would avoid this service. I am going to try to get my money back.”
“Paid for the deluxe package over 1 year ago. They keep you on the hook, stating that it is very difficult to get a wikipedia page published, rules are changing, etc.
During this time they also call and ask for many additional fees.
No result -- SCAM, SCAM, SCAM.
Stay away”
“I hired Wikimoderators in July 2023 after they reached out to me cold indicating that a page was already being drafted for me and they could ensure it was balanced. I felt pressured to act lest they publish a page that was incomplete or slanted. I agreed to engage them. It took many months for them to do the final draft and, like with other reviews, they kept claiming they needed more fees to pay for "linking pages" etc. By Dec 2023 they had exceeded their projected timeline to the point that the exchanges were contentious. They agreed to a deadline. They would get it published by Jan 15th or provide a refund. No page emerged (more than $1500 later) and then they ghosted me and eventually stopped responding to my requests to provide the refund they promised in writing. I was told later they were banned because they violated community rules. Definitely would advise others to avoid them. They are a scam.”
“I hired wikimoderators to create my wikipedia page and purchased the "deluxe package". Over 1 year later, there is still no published page, just lots of excuses about how difficult it is to get a page approved. They also call throughout the process asking for more $$. Have already paid more than twice what the original price was and still no published page.
At this point, I am not sure whether or not this is a scam or a legitimate business, but I can definitely tell you that they will try to get more money at every stage.”
