“While shopping at the Pocatello WinCo on January 20, 2021, I noticed that the patron opposite myself bagging groceries was not wearing a mask. I said, “ Did you forget your facemask?” She replied, “I don’t believe in them.” Our conversation was then rudely interrupted by the checker/employee/owner who SHOUTED to me, “Leave her alone.” I was surprised and shouted back, “Don’t you have a big sign in front of your store saying, “Masks are required by all patrons.”? He shouted back, “Mind your own business and go on your way.” As a 75+ citizen, I now find it very risky to patronize WinCo. Others in my age group should be made aware of WinCo’s non-compliance with COVID19 regulations. On January 20, 2021, Bannock County Idaho had 44 new COVID19 cases.”
