“Arrived today for a late lunch. Sat at an empty table, asked bar staff for menus, sat and decided what meals we would like. Queued at the bar to then be told that as we hadn't booked, we wouldn't be allowed to order food as they would not 'cope' and they needed to quiet down the kitchen. The pub was busy but not to an extreme as there were plenty of tables available. Had the staff placed a sign on the door explaining that they would not be serving any customers who had not booked prior to arrival or had a member of staff advise us when asking for a menu or advising if we decided to stay there would be a wait on food, then I would not be leaving this kind of review as when we have attended previously, we had no issues instead, we wasted 20 minutes of our bank holiday with hungry children in a pub that decided they would not serve us food. The attitude of the gentleman at the bar was inappropriate and rude. We left and will not be returning, we shall also be advising other friends and relatives not to attend due to the poor customer service.”
