“My friend purchased a tree to be planted for my birthday in memory of my late mother. This was my first birthday without my mother so a very poignant occasion. I received a certificate however there was an error with the spelling of my name. I thought it was such a beautiful thought that I would like to frame the certificate. I called up to explain the circumstances. The representative I spoke to was slow and inexperienced. I asked if my full Christian name could be used instead of being abbreviated and this appeared to be an enormous task. I suggested that initiative was used to incorporate my request. After 10 minutes on the phone I have to admit I was do annoyed with the response I disconnected the call threatening never to use this company again. I offered to pay for any additional printing or postage but to be honest I gave up. A real shame that such a nice thought turned into a terrible experience. I was planning on purchasing a tree every year on mine and/or my mother's birthday but will take my money to another charity that will go the extra mile and appreciates their customers!”
