“I would like to take the time to recognize excellence in customer service, which is hard to come by now days. I recently had the pleasure to work with Holland B on a large commercial job that I was in a rush to complete. Holland proved that her commitment to product knowledge, and customer care , can make any size project painless. People like her should be recognized and retained. She is a rare find. Thank you Holland and 1000 bulbs for having such a great employee. I look forward to my next project.”
“The price was right. Customer Service answered quickly, but the tone of the email response was not warm. I wanted LED mini-lights and received incandescent lights which get really hot and can possibly cause a fire. They would not acknowledge that. I was also a first time buyer. I paid for shipping and taxes. The RMA instructions very lengthy for a return. They basically said "will it be cost effective to return." Probably not, but I will not give to anyone or keep for myself if fire hazard. It is principle. I do not intend to ever buy from this company again!”
“Just spent a half hour on the phone with Jackson. He was knowledgeable, personable and helpful. I'm very grateful for his help and happy to give him my business.”
“In general, low quality products. Primarily from china. As a contractor, I can say this is not the best place to go. I've done some level of business with 1000bulbs.com for years now. Our last project that we used 1000 bulbs as a vendor will be our last purchase. Fixtures and lamps from same manufacturer at same color were not the same color lamps. We tried different products from 1000bulbs but were not able to get a color match. Had to go to one of our regular wholesalers before we could get the situation resolved. Lots of wasted time, jobsite labor and money with minimal help or real concern from the 1000bulb staff.”
“I bought their recommended 8' LED florescent replacement lamps for a commercial coffee roaster customer. These are for the ceiling fixtures in their warehouse.
Using the lamp manufacturer's life rating, in this application (on 10 hours a day) they should have lasted 20 years. The first one failed after 3 months, now 2 more... so one by one they are failing and rather then sending out a better quality replacement at their cost, they are issuing pro-rated credits (sigh).
To me this means they do not test the lamps or source high quality products, so beware that failure might be a common experience. Also, prorating the credits is sleezy and means they do not stand behind the items they recommend.
Will I buy from them again? Nope!”
“Darn that Congress, baning mercury-vapor ballasts & bulbs 2005! Why do I have the hassle of replacing a high-up MV fixture when running out of bulbs? Dangerous!
Phoning this biz, talking to the specalist, we got an order together that appeared on all counts to successfully work w/o tweaking the fixture ... plugNplay.
Arrived well packed pretty fast ... sorry, Charlie - NOT working .....
Began to email my problem
Ashley took over
1. we don't have anything that will work anymore - it's been a long time since 2005
2. here's many links to others that have something that works - I know b/c I detailed a match to their bulbs via the specificaitons you gave me (WOW)
3. connecting you to RMA, who is giving you a shipping-FREE label to return in same sleeves, box, packing et al.
OLD SCHOOL customer service that INSURES REPEAT, loyal biz”
