“I bought an expensive ASUS gaming laptop for photo editing. It was noisy in spite of SSD-disks (I had to lower the max processor speed to avoid that), but it worked fine for 14 month, and then went dead.
The shop (Power.fi Espoo) thought it was the batteries, so did I and so did the repair shop (InfoCare Oy Vantaa).
They changed the batteries, but it was the (noisy) motherboard that was broken. They changed that under warranty, but charged me 128 € for the batteries they had changed uneccessary.
There is no chance the motherboard and batteries break at the same time, unless the motherboard/currency control unit causes the failure.
Power.fi does not answer my emails and InfoCare Oy did a Windows reset without preserving data, which is an straightforward option if you are a professional.”
“2 months ago I bought an Asus laptop and I am really happy with it because it is very smooth but the only thing that I hope to be improved is the battery capacity.”
