Purchased a hoover stick vacuum. Within six months the hose developed a split. On contacting hoover they told Argos that it was a known issue and should be replaced FOC. When I contacted them I was told it was fair wear and tear and I would have to pay for a spare part. After nearly four months of toing and froing I eventually got them to refund the cost of the machine as they had run out of spare parts, perhaps because so many people had the same problem. I noticed on another review site that someone else had the same problem, but they got nowhere with Hoover. They have a standard response to customer complaints which is to contact them via social media. My advice, don't purchase from Hoover (or Candy) if you want a quality product or good customer service.

I had a Hoover Washing machine that was 18 months old. It broke down during lockdown and understandably we found it hard to get it repaired. We therefore bought a new hoover washing machine in May. This broke down 1 month ago. It’s electrics have failed and the drum is completely broken. I’ve asked for the machine to be replaced but they won’t even though it failed after only 3 months. The earliest they can repair it is on the 29th September. Appalling customer service. An inadequate product.

Worst company for service and products. It is clear they dont read your emails as they respond (late) with something completely different to what you ask for. I bought a floor steamer and it doesnt do a fundamental function, steam. In the end after getting nowhere with them I just smashed it to pieces, and that was too good for it.

Mad how many calls and emails are queueing in the company call centre when so many of the staff are skiving work. A whole team at the back of the office spend all day shouting and screaming when they could help out taking calls or answering emails instead of leaving all the work to the new people

Paid about £350 for a washing machine in July. In the October the door catch fell into the machine. They told me that it would cost £120 just for the call out and it wouldnt be under warranty because it was accidental damage. Absolutely absurd, there was no visible damage to machine at all
