Shocking quality for the money! In the end, closed my account. Howdens kitchens ended up costing me money with damaged items, wrong/missing parts! Their delivery charge is a bloody rip off too!

Don't really know where to start. Very poor quality worktop that is impossible to cut without chipping!!! Mix up after mix up with items. Wrong sizes of many items delivered, protracted delivery times, only 3 items delivered on the first occasion when it should have been full order; carpenter unable to start and couldn't return for three weeks. There's mor but don't want to bore people!!!

I purchased five kitchens from Howdens in the sale they didn’t have the stock to cover the orders so they sent out a few units from each order so to meet there target and made the balance up when they had stock the stock was damaged seven units in one kitchen another kitchen was delivered and the driver was late picking his son up from school so he threw the kitchen off the van it was shamed to bits my customer stood there with there mouths open they never send any plans with the kitchens it’s cost me over and over and soon as they have sold you the kitchen the sales man I used for years didn’t want to know Howdens have got so so bad I won’t be using them going forward quality gone out the window the kitchen designer driving delivery van trying to deal with missing parts damages I ordered stair parts for a delivery a week in advance they never come then when they did come a day late they forgot the newel posts so had two chippys stood why they drove from Northampton to high Wycombe dreadful kitchen company

Made 100% payment was not informed all items were not in stock , got a partial delivery , I had to call in to see what was going on & I was told I will get the rest don't worry .

Since then we have had nothing but problems and we STILL don't have critical parts of the kitchen 5 days later and no answer as to when these will arrive - some of the issues: - Missing tower units for fridge freezer on delivery (critical as the starting point of the kitchen assembly) - Missing worktop (STILL NOT ARRIVED) so the kitchen is unusable - Main unit for utility sent in the wrong size (despite being measured by Howdens prior to delivery) - Incorrect design/measurements meaning we have had to improvise with the fitter to make it fit the room (Howdens accept the mistake but no compensation or alternative offered!) - Designed and delivered with X5 handles not included The store have been next to no help since taking our money and still cannot give us any idea of when we will receive the worktop so the kitchen can be fitted and used - despite telling us it had to come on 6th September.

They defaulted not only on expected delivery times but they didn't even send the right items! The cooker extractor hood was damaged and thet took forever to send a replacement.

Order £1000 worth of doors under a promotion, when delivery came in they told me I had to get them before close of play ( approx 2 hours notice) on a Friday or I would have to pay the pre promotion price As I was on a roof I was never going to be able to do that as a sole trader, Turned up Monday morning first thing to collect them and they refused to let me have them I told them they cannot call me and give me 2-3 hours notice as a sole trader I cannot leave a job open They said they had called me earlier in the week ( which is not the case as mobiles and emails record all contact even missed calls ) So cancelled the order and bought from Wickes instead, who are all together happier to deal with customers and value the business, I cancelled my Howdens account immediately Working for myself I don’t need to deal with companies like this Rugby Howdens

Having experienced first hand Howden’s build quality, design service and delivery and stock control I would never recommend them to anyone.
