Purchased a Fox "little sod" petrol rotary mower and then realised that it only had an 80cc engine when it arrived. This detail was not included in their website listing, most mowers of this size have 125cc-148cc engines, so clearly underpowered. Couldn't try it out due to their t&c's on returns, so contacted them and pointed out that all their mowers show the engine size apart from this one, so is not a fair offer by this omission. They initially wanted £30 to return the mower, but eventually picked it up for free after more complaints via email from us. They promised that the engine size omission was a mistake and would rectify the web page. They didn't at first , but 3 weeks later the listing for the same mower shows it as now having a 139cc engine, which is either another mistake , or could this be an indication of the importance of supplying the relevant information on engine size on a previous model ? Make your own mind up, but if your stuck with an 80cc version and feel that it is underpowered and you were misled, then I suggest that you consider your consumer rights when buying from a distance seller. You have a right to a proper level of information being provided in order to make an informed decision. Omission of relevant facts in advertising is not acceptable practice. There is a wide choice of online sellers these days, so please take the time to read listings fully and ask questions before purchasing so as to avoid our mistake . We now have our refund, but minus £10, with no explanation, and no response so far to our email about this deduction. We will not be using this company again.

Ordered an item and payed £7.99 for next day delivery on 29th May. Item despatched on the 30th of May which is fair enough as the Monday was the bank holiday and I expected delivery on the 31st May. Its now 21:27 on the day I expected delivery and no delivery has been made and the online tracking with Yodel says the parcel is still with the sender. I only ordered with this company because I needed the item quickly and they supposedly offer a next day delivery service, which they don't but will charge you £7.99 for!!! I have now had to order the item from elsewhere as this company are unreliable and I don't know if or when the item will arrive! This is one company to avoid!!

I took delivery of a Wolf 3.2 kW generator on 19th October but haven't been able to use it yet, nearly two weeks later because of two serious flaws which have the potential to be LETHAL. One flaw, I fixed myself but the other required a replacement petrol pipe. I rang UK Home Shopping about this and the apparently very obliging customer representative promised to rush me the replacement part. 11 days later - still no part. Customer service seems to be 'make promises, do nothing.' The flaws in this Wolf PowerKing Petrol Generator were: • A fuel pipe too short to fit securely on the fuel tap. Vibration from the engine running would dislodge it, spilling petrol over a hot engine. • A dislodged plastic cover exposing 12 and 230 volt electrical contacts. It is a matter of poor design; this cover should be impossible to accidentally dislodge. A potentially serious flaw, especially if the generator is earthed.

I purchased a frisky fox mower in November used it once got it out to mow the lawn last week and it would not start also the priming button wasn’t working I contacted homeshopping UK And was told that I would have to clean the carburettor out in case it was stale fuel I enquired about the two years warranty and was told I would have to pack it up and send it back . I decided to cut my losses and get a local mower repair Company to have a look they have cleaned out the carburettor the spark plug was US and was told that these are made in China and are next to useless I have checked the feedback and quite a few people are complaining about these mowers be warned don’t buy one don’t use this company.

1 star is too many. Purchased a frisky fox petrol lawnmower with electric start on June 2020. It didn't arrive when advised it would. When assembled the electric start failed to start the engine but I put this down to the engine being cold. The second time I cut the grass the blade hit a root which bent it in half. I was surprised at this given that in ten years previous lawnmowers had never done this (and this mower does not cut lower) However I then tried to source a replacement blade but found I could only procure one from UKHS. I was quoted £29.99 for the blade but was actually billed an additional £5 for postage, something to bear in mind when using mail order. During this time the mower was "charging" in advance of its next use. When the blade was replaced I tried to use the electric start and did not get any response at all. I started the mower manually and used it for the third time. Half way round the lawn the self-propelled mechanism failed! By this time I had concluded that the mower was not fit for purpose and contacted UKHS to ask for a refund. Nobody apologised for the failure but the "customer service" agent advised that they would need to see it and asked me drain it of oil and petrol and send it back to them (they did offer to cover the cost of this). Nobody covered the cost of my time to disassemble the machine and re-package it. They expected to look at at in a few days time. Given the late delivery of the machine in the first place I wasn't expecting my refund quickly so I asked what I would do with my lawn in the meantime. The agent could only say he didn't know. I sent it back but had to call up myself 10 days later for an update. Expecting a refund to be processed I was shocked to learn that the team in the workshop had said they wouldn't be able to sell the machine as a ex-demo so I wouldn't get a refund. Given that the mower had been used I would never expect it be returned in brand new condition but it wasn't far off (I am pleased that I took photographs of it before returning it). More importantly though, why is this relevant? The machine is not fit for purpose. The agent also advised that they had changed a spark plug, the battery and repaired the self-propelled mechanism. This was required on a machine that was used 2/3 times. What will it be like when the guarantee has run out? I have decided to write this post to steer people away from buying items like this by mail order. UKHS are returning the mower but I don't really intend using the mower again and will be pursuing a refund. To use it again I will of course have to re-assemble the machine when it is returned so more hassle and I wouldn't expect it to work for very long before having to go through the same process. When I asked the agent to provide me with replacement oil (I had to drain and dispose of the oil provided with the mower in the first place) he said it wasn't normal practice, that I was being as awkward as possible, and got quite angry - some customer service! I also asked to be referred to someone higher in the company but he said I couldn't because they were on holiday! I am going to take my complaint further but would recommend anyone to avoid UKHS at all costs.

I wish to complain about the awful service I have received from your company. 1. I rang on 25 February 2019 as the battery for my BMC lawn racer was not holding it's charge. I was told to return it as it needed to recharged. 2. You arranged for yodel to collect on 26 February but they never arrived. 3. I rang again on the 27th February and collection was rearranged for 28 February. 4. I rang in May as I had heard nothing from you, to be told that you couldn't recharge the battery and I needed to buy a new one for around £50 but there was a 3 month wait. 5. On 5 July, I paid you £57.93 for a new battery which you said would be in uk by the end of July. 6. I rang at the end of July to be told that no batteries had been put on the container but a new shipment would be docking on 26 August so my battery would be despatched by 1 September. I was also told that I could take my old battery into a certain place (can't remember the name) and swap it although it wouldn't be a new battery. He had no idea that I never had my battery as if he had read my notes, he would have known that you have had this since February! 7. I rang again on 10 September and was told that all the batteries had been sent out in priority order. I asked why mine wasn't priority as they had had my battery since February and was told that he would see if there was one in stock n would ring me back but otherwise I would receive it in next 2 weeks. 8. Today is 17 September and my battery has arrived, almost seven months after you received it. This is the most awful customer service I have ever come across. Just a small communication to update me would have sufficed, but no, nothing. How about an apology?

I purchased a Wolf MIG 130 Portable Welder 230v DC No Gas Welding Gasless 120A 120 Amps never used one before, the welding wire feed when set at zero comes out quite fast but not knowing i went on, it became difficult on very small welds. asked professional welders and suppliers who then told me that zero means just that, no wire and one (1) setting is very slow and so on. UKHS then refused to admit any wrong a charged £12.99 to return it. BE VERY CAREFUL, DO NOT BUY ONE IF YOU WANT IT TO WORK PROPERLY

Ordered a replacement blade for my lawnmower. Was told that was fine and it would be sent out for the next day. The next day came and had not been delivered so chased and was then informed it wasn't in stock and wont be for another to weeks. The guy on the phone did offer to refund me but I've had no luck finding one elsewhere so just got to hope it's right when it does turn up

Item was collected and delivered back to them on the 28th After waiting over a week for refund I contacted them through Amazon and received lie after lie but still no refund. It just seems they are happy to take your money for what can only be described as shoddy merchandise and then try every means not to give it back. Please please avoid this company the item are rubbish the customer service worse and the Refund process none existent lucky for me as i bought on amazon who have said “we offer our A-to-z Safe Buying Guarantee for your protection.”

Received chain saw yesterday which refused to start; spent 3 hours messing with it and waiting for "head office" to ring me back. Tried what they suggested this morning ; didn't work! Have now waited nearly 2 hours already for "head office" to ring me back so that I can return the faulty goods. Is this what they call customer service???

Purchased Mower parts on the 24th May 18. Still waiting for delivery today being the 30 June 18. The customer services personal are reluctant to answer emails for an update but eventually told that Ship was having a problem docking. That was 3 weeks ago. They are refusing to reply to me emails now. I think the staff are too embarrassed. Unfortunately the are the sole supplier for parts for my mower. So I have no option but to put up but I will not shut up. My advice is to stay clear of this tin pot company. Buy direct from China or Veitnam. You will get better service and receive your purchases sooner than through UK Home Shopping.

DO NOT AND I MEAN DO NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THESE GUYS!! Two faulty generators one with a broken bracket and a second with a server petrol leak! It took countless attempts to finally get through to the correct department... it took 3 days to get through! When I did finally get through I was promised a collection and a replacement to be sent out straight away decided to call in the morning to find out that they had not received a confirmation email from TNT... should you not call before promising a customer that this will be done today? Once I finally received the second generator, as stated above the petrol was literally pouring out! Rather than them arranging a collection they asked me to take the petrol tank off (if I had done this the item would have no longer been in warranty, NO THANK YOU) once again I had requested them to come and collect which I was advised someone has been sent out and to then get a call at 5 saying it has been missed once again!! I have asked for a full refund and I am still awaiting to receive my money! I have reported this directly to eBay who are now following it up! If anyone has any sense take this all onboard.... I have left this review on every trading platform that these guys sell on...

I have received a faulty product and everyday I ring to return it and all they will do is take my number and offer a call back yet as yet no one ever has. I will have to go through the courts to get a refund. It is within my 7 day return as is my right. But that dosn't apply to them. Or so they think. Beware if something goes wrong. You have no chance.
