“I have found the service received from Centrick absolutely appalling. They have been charging for services that have not been upheld for over a year and when questioned they have ignored all my emails when I’ve asked them to reply in writing. Since this I have continually reported issues at the site to which have been ignored. Awful service, if your a leaseholder I would urge you to enquire about the services and charges as they appear to be collecting money and leaving the sites in disarray”
“I am utterly appalled by the unprofessional conduct and lack of accountability displayed by Centrick (now acquired by John Shepherds). Despite my repeated efforts to resolve an issue caused by their own incompetence, they have chosen to shift the blame onto me, the tenant.
Their delays and constant stream of excuses have left me in an untenable situation. Due to their failure in handling basic tenancy renewal procedures and basic obligations, I was essentially forced to remain in my property beyond the intended lease period, waiting for them to rectify their own mistakes and they were still saying it is okay and I do not need to worry. But you know what, they secretly put the extra cost on my account! After reaching out to them regarding the additional rental charges several times, they have not only failed to rectify the situation but have also threatened to deduct payments from my deposit now, showing a complete disregard for their responsibilities as property managers.
Their refusal to acknowledge their mistakes and instead burden the tenant with unjust financial consequences is utterly unacceptable. It is clear that their priority lies not in providing quality service but in squeezing every penny out of their tenants.
Avoid John Shepherd (Centrick) at all COST!!! Their lack of professionalism and blatant disregard for tenant welfare make them wholly unfit to manage any property.”
“My engagement with Centrick has been notably unsatisfactory. Following our recent relocation to Arden's Gate in Birmingham, the move-in process has fallen short of expectations. Unfortunately, communication has proven to be a major challenge, with our emails left unanswered and requests for amendments to the inventory blatantly disregarded. Despite multiple attempts to establish contact through phone calls, obtaining a response has become an insurmountable challenge.
Additionally, my concerns regarding the living conditions in our apartment, which have been impacting my partner's health—specifically her asthma exacerbated by non-functional extractors—have been consistently overlooked. Even after formally addressing this matter via email, there has been no resolution.
In light of my distressing experience, I strongly advise individuals to exercise extreme caution when engaging with Centrick, whether for rental, leasing, or purchasing. It seems that after securing payment, subsequent communication becomes nearly nonexistent, leaving customers feeling neglected and frustrated.”
