“I had therapy over the phone here for 2 years. I was in an abusive relationship and instead of validating my experiences, she related my reactions to my childhood and said that I was only reacting that way because of my childhood and never commenting on the fact I was being abused. I took me a long time to realize that it was nothing to do with my childhood and my partner at the time was in fact abusing me and my reactions were valid. She would let me talk for 40 minutes straight and for the last 10 minutes blame my mother for everything who I ended up not speaking to for 6 months over it. I would avoid this place, especially if you're feeling extremely vulnerable. I left every phone call crying and feeling miserable vs now with my new therapist I walk out feeling validated and comforted.”

“City Therapy is a shambles. The therapist did not care one bit, sat for an hour saying nothing. I had to drag observations out of her. A negative, horrible experience. Do not use them.”

“My daughter had an experience with a female therapist who was not authentic and judgmental. Her advice was not helpful.”

“Have tried to arrange therapy twice now with two different therapists and neither have followed up to confirm. Reaching out to start therapy is a hard and big step and your therapists did not make it easy.”

“I was telling my therapist about how I'd be happy if I got life threatening sick so I wouldn't have to live much longer, and she literally cut through and told me time was coming to the end and asked if i could see myself working with her going forward, she didn't give me any guidance or anything useful for what i was telling her, i then left and spent 15 mins crying in the bathroom afterwards and felt feeling a million time worse before going in.. I understand we get 50 mins per session but Iv never had a therapist do that, especially when I was talking about a very deep dark feeling that has only started to develop in me, an extra 5 mins to even try talk me down or even give me some advice on how not to feel that way, or something to even leave on a positive would of been nice, I got absolutely nothing from this experience.”
