“Love the IAM patterns, although I prefer ones that don't need tracing. Early intermediate sewer, this was a lovely (but lengthy!) project. Would recommend a very soft denim and note that the balloon cut is definitely balloony (which I love). I should have double checked the length against my own measurements.”

“I've attended a variety of workshops with a variety of tutors over the past year. All have been excellent - helpful, knowledgeable and patient. The studio is well equipped and a very pleasant environment to learn in. The Clothkits staff are also very helpful and knowledgeable and friendly. I can highly recommend their workshops. Whenever I've ordered anything it has arrived promptly. The 5 star review is well deserved.”

“After years of wishing I could sew I decided to make a change by attending the Beginners Sewing Course. I LOVED IT. I experienced many mistakes but by having Maria, the expert tutor, on hand I learned loads. I ended up with a lovely Tote bag that looks snazzy. I experienced the joy that so many sewers talk about when they have sat down and produced an item from just a few scraps of material. Well worth giving it a go. I will make a few more items on my own sewing machine then sign up for another course soon.”

“Attended the brilliant lampshade fairy lights workshop. The tutor was really welcoming, explained and demonstrated everything really well, and was really helpful and supportive. Had an absorbing and fun morning, and took home a beautiful chain of fairylights.”

“I took the pleated lampshade course and the drum lampshade course. Both were excellent. Jane is an incredibly patient knowledgeable instructor. I would gladly take another course again. Rachel and Kay have an amazing shop. Everything I needed to purchase was there. A huge selection of fabrics, notions and patterns. I would not hesitate to recommend both the shop and the courses to anyone. I just wish they were all a little closer to me !!”

“Orders from Clothkits always seem to arrive SUPER quick, packaged beautifully and the quality is outstanding. I was a Clothkits mum nearly 40 years ago and I’m so happy they are still going. Pictured - expectant daughter in her apron. My next project is to make her two year old one like it !”

“My sewing skills are very limited but I thought I would have a go at this beginners kit. The instructions were really clear although I had to do the zip 3 times before I was happy with it. The last time I made a skirt was about 40 years ago at school and I never wore it. My sewing won't win me any prizes but I am pleased to say this kit has now become a nice looking skirt which I will definitely wear!”

“Phoned late Monday afternoon as had been humming and ha-ing about a certain pattern for a raincoat. The lady, Karen, (I believe) on the end of the phone could not have been more helpful and friendly and took my order. I received the pattern in the post the next day beautifully packaged. Outstanding customer service. Cannot fault it.”
