I previously wrote a review at the beginning of my project and now after almost 2 years, I believe an update is needed as my experience with them has change. I purchase several items from them and will break down per item as I would give different ratings per team I work with. Overall, I enjoyed working with their customer service employee Robert Collins and the writing team. The biggest cons are from the marketing team, my project manager and lack of double checking accuracy when passing on information. Writing Team: I really enjoyed the writing team that I had. We work well together and were able to do one round of updates per week. Now, I did have to re-read some chapters as sometimes my notes would be skip, but we work out a system after that issue to make sure it didn't happen again. Instagram Team: This team was also very professional, but at the beginning it was alot of work as you can tell by the post they knew nothing about my book. This was frustrating because I pick them, hoping they would at least read the summary or have an internal meeting to discuss my books theme for each post to cut down on the amount of editing efforts. I will say they will make the updates as you request them. Website Team: This is my second favorite group to work with out of all of them. They built an amazing website, but there are a hidden fee at the end that shock me. Sadly, my website is down because of the domain, I have tried getting in touch with my Marketing team and Project Manager but no follow-up. Marketing Team: This is where I would give them 1 star. The person I am working with told me we would twice a week meetings, I haven't heard from him since January 22nd. I have sent him request on getting my author instagram account, but never heard back. I ended up hacking into it. Also, the last time I talk to him he kept telling me there was a urgent issue with my website that they could fix for 2,000 then 1,000 then 500 if I would approve the purchase right then. I work in IT and have ask what the issue is but to this day I have no clue what this critical issue was. I am unsure what marketing they are doing as we have not had any meetings since the first one to keep me up to date. Project Manager: This one is my most frustrating as I typically only hear from him to sale me on something. I would send him a text and would get a response of "ok" and "checking on it", but then no follow-up on several inquiries. Robert from the Customer Service department has acted more like the project manager on my project then the project manager I have assigned. Robert from Customer Service has help guide me through this process and gotten my questions answers. One last thing, I have found no one has taken up organization on this project as the wrong summary and book edits have been sent over to several departments which has caused many headaches over the course of this project. I am at the point where I will probably avoid my PMs call (if I ever get one) and just work with other teams myself. Publishing Team: James is wonderful and on top of everything. He got my electric and paper books published on Amazon and Barnes and noble quickly. We did have a hiccup because he was sent the wrong cover and summary for my book, but got it fix within an hour. He also really help calm me down after this hiccup as I was in tears when I saw it. Outstanding items: I also paid for global publishing back in October of 2023 and I have no status on this one. I did have someone from Collins email me trying to sell me the same package that I had already brought. I also have no status on my articles for Google and Apex even though I purchase that in December of 2023. I have ask for updates from the PM but no follow-up as of yet. In summary, if I was to come back to make my book a series. I would just stick with working with the writing, publishing and website teams. All other services, were either too frustrating, not to level I excepted or I feel I could find better value elsewhere.
