Amazing! Recently purchased a new pair of big name brand, pro wading boots with rubber lug soles. As a felt sole w/carbide stud guy who fishes slimy, rocky fast moving rivers often I was somewhat skepticle of rubber soled boots. The sales guy assured me that the "newer" style rubber boots offered great traction and I purchased carbide studs (same brand as the boots) to go along with them. After methodically installing the studs with the provided tool they looked promising. However, after a trip to a smaller local stream with light algae covered rocks I was in shock at just how terrible they were. My heart sank in my chest after just dropping $335 bucks on new boots and studs!!! Even with a wading staff it was difficult to safely manuever or comfortably stand in one spot while casting. I resigned myself to removing the studs, grinding the rubber soles flat on my shop sander and gluing a new set of aftermarket felt soles w/studs onto them. Before I did that, I searched the web believing I cant be the only guy in this dilema. The search came up with a few solutions and the Grip Stud website was one of them. After looking at the site and making a phone call, Brian was quite helpful in assisting me to select the proper size set of Grip Studs that he assured me would solve my problem. I ordered the Grip Stud model he suggested with their tool along with the adhesive he recommended for a re-install. Again, methodically followed his instructions to install the new studs. Just a few days ago I put the Grip Studs to the "acid test" in a local fast moving river that has some of the most slippery algae cover rocks to be found in my area. To my amazement the new Grip Studs offered incredible, slip free traction to the point of even feeling secure without using my wading staff. Honestly, the solution to my problem without having to resort to grinding and re-soling. Brian thank you for your assistance, honesty, and a great product. One word of advice to others looking for wading shoe studs, look no further than Grip Studs!

The product I bought for my felt sole wading boots do not work. They can't be screwed into the felt. They do not go in with out falling out as soon as you walk on them!

A friend turned me on to Grip Studs and had recommended the 3000As which he had used recently on his boots. I went to order the 3000As for my boots and soon discovered I needed 32 studs -- 4 more than come with the 3000A package. I decided to call Grip Studs customer service to see if there was an alternative to buying a second package of 3000As. When I told the customer rep I had the Skwala Carbon boot she immediately suggested I get the 1740Ps which were perfect for my boots and came with the necessary 32 studs. It was grreat advice and they work great!

Started fly fishing again after a nearly 40 year break. I am mostly focused on trout streams in and around Virginia. Got a good pair of wading boots but even with them, I found myself slipping and sliding over the rocks in the small streams I tried to fish. Did some research and found these. Installed them last week and went fishing this past weekend. They make a WORLD of difference! I had MUCH better traction and felt much more confident moving in and around the water. These are a must have if you fish in slippery rivers and creeks. The stabilty they provide is worth every penny!

After finding grip studs , they are the only wading boot studs I will use. Compared to previous studs , they provide excellent traction while maintaining excellent durability. The studs install easy into the boots, and do not pop out with use or wear. They are an exceptional product.

Five Star Rating! I had other grip studs in my wading boots and they fell out making it very difficult for me to fish our rivers. I put in your grip studs and none have felled out and I can feel the difference in traction on the rivers and walking trails. Thank you! Tom

I used the studs for traction on top of a few logs. Grip was great. “Tacky”, not too frilly the stuck in, great traction.

The studs were easy to install in my Chota boots and made wading a lot easier. The grip is excellent, which is important as I am fairly old and have a bad leg.

Installed studs on the rear tire of my skid steer. I purchased enough studs for 4 tires but didn't need them on the front tires. Excellent traction on ice. Lots of ice here in Alaska. No need for chains

Customer service was awesome! I was impatient and ordered the incorrect studs for my new boots. I contacted customer service and the rep retrieved the incorrect studs from their outgoing packages and shipped me the correct studs. On a recent fishing trip where I fished multiple rocky streams, the studs provided much improved traction. I was able to wade around and reach spots that I have been reluctant to try for the past few years. Thanks GripStuds for helping this 66 year old to feel secure when wading and for enabling me to again reach the forgotten spots that I had written off as inaccessible a few years ago. Mark C.

Excellent product. Fits perfect. Amazing customer service. I asked about my specific wading boot application (Skwala RS boots) and not only did they turn me on to the proper model of studs but they made sure the correct number of studs was included for my boots! That’s above and beyond top notch customer service. You’ve got a customer for life. Thank you!

I purchased the two styles of studs with the more aggressive points (3000A and 3000B) and my opinion of them is mixed. They give good purchase on soft footing, but are only marginally helpful on ice. The tips offer no frictional resistance to sliding and the titanium tips might be hard, but they are incapable of digging into hard ice. A HUGE improvement would be to make a stud that has a flat head (greater surface area) capped with borium. The frictional resistance of borium on ice is amply demonstrated by its application to my horses' shoes in the winter. You don't need a pointed surface, you need a slide resistant material with a larger surface area. Come up with that and you will have a winner for folks looking to deal with icey conditions.

I live just a few blocks from the company. I stopped by in person for a pack of grip studs. The service was friendly, quick, and included advice for successful installation and tire choice.
