Amazing! Recently purchased a new pair of big name brand, pro wading boots with rubber lug soles. As a felt sole w/carbide stud guy who fishes slimy, rocky fast moving rivers often I was somewhat skepticle of rubber soled boots. The sales guy assured me that the "newer" style rubber boots offered great traction and I purchased carbide studs (same brand as the boots) to go along with them. After methodically installing the studs with the provided tool they looked promising. However, after a trip to a smaller local stream with light algae covered rocks I was in shock at just how terrible they were. My heart sank in my chest after just dropping $335 bucks on new boots and studs!!! Even with a wading staff it was difficult to safely manuever or comfortably stand in one spot while casting. I resigned myself to removing the studs, grinding the rubber soles flat on my shop sander and gluing a new set of aftermarket felt soles w/studs onto them. Before I did that, I searched the web believing I cant be the only guy in this dilema. The search came up with a few solutions and the Grip Stud website was one of them. After looking at the site and making a phone call, Brian was quite helpful in assisting me to select the proper size set of Grip Studs that he assured me would solve my problem. I ordered the Grip Stud model he suggested with their tool along with the adhesive he recommended for a re-install. Again, methodically followed his instructions to install the new studs. Just a few days ago I put the Grip Studs to the "acid test" in a local fast moving river that has some of the most slippery algae cover rocks to be found in my area. To my amazement the new Grip Studs offered incredible, slip free traction to the point of even feeling secure without using my wading staff. Honestly, the solution to my problem without having to resort to grinding and re-soling. Brian thank you for your assistance, honesty, and a great product. One word of advice to others looking for wading shoe studs, look no further than Grip Studs!

I recently tested Grip Studs on my vehicle and outdoor gear, and they have exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and durability. Grip Studs are small, screw-in traction devices designed for tires, boots, bicycles, and even snowmobiles, and they deliver exceptional grip on ice, snow, and muddy terrain. Installation was straightforward with the included tool, and the studs held firmly once in place. On my truck tires, they provided a noticeable boost in traction during icy mornings and steep, snow-covered roads. I also added a few to the soles of my winter boots, and the difference in stability on slick sidewalks was immediate. The studs are made of hardened tungsten carbide, which seems to withstand rough surfaces well without wearing down quickly. One of the best features is their versatility—they can be removed and reused season after season, making them a cost-effective solution for winter conditions. They are also much quieter than traditional tire chains and don’t cause noticeable damage to pavement when used responsibly. Overall, I highly recommend Grip Studs for anyone who regularly faces slippery conditions. They offer security, reliability, and peace of mind whether you’re driving, hiking, biking, or working outdoors in the winter.

I installed "Grip Studs" in a customers tires, within 50 miles they showed so much wear the customer insisted on removal. Ulitmately I not only had to spend the time installing and removing them but to satisfy my customer I credited back the tires and had to order him in another option. I stock many snow tires studded and non, I typically install Mcgee Co tungstun core studs with little issues even on commercial grade vehicles. I have seen your product and liked the screw in application however to good to be true. Lesson learned.

Hello, and we are sorry you feel this way. Our products are proudly made in Bergamo Italy to very high quality standards. We have tested the Chinese copies to find the materials and workmanship are inferior to genuine Grip Studs. If you are not happy with our product, feel free to ship them back for a refund. All the best,

I have used Grip Studs on my ice resurfacers for years. It has been a cost effective way to extend tire life and improve traction on the ice. The studs stay in the tires quite well, last a long time and do not wear out. We have saved money by not having to replace our tires

I put the Gripstuds on my Kubota 6060 using the recommended pattern on the website. We just had our first severe ice storm, we live one hour from the Canadian border. They are exceptional. I never felt any slip and we have a grade where I plow with them. They are pricey but worth every penny. They are so good that I ordered a set for my Ranger for ice fishing!

I bought two boxes of 100 Model 1300 stud for attachment to my winter road tires on my BMW R 1300 GS Adventure bike. The studs are defintely high quality! Turns out 1 pack of 100 was sufficent for my shop to do a light studding on both the front and back wheels. Bike felt a little slippery/greasy on the first couple of rides on plain tarmac/pavement. WIth every subsequent ride on tarmac there has been improvment in handling as the studs become more fully seated inside the tire. As the sharpness continues to wear, I expect further improvement in the bike's handling while at the same time maintaining an advantage on any ice and snow pockets that I may encounter on the road. I'm a year round rider. This purchase was for my winter tires only, and come April 2026, I will be putting my summer tires back on. No studs.

Unfortunately my order was wrong and still haven’t received my correct items. I do feel the shipping is way over priced considering it has taken well over a week to receive my first shipment and still haven’t received the correct order I understand things happen and I do love the grip studs as they work great just wish it didn’t take 20 dollars shipping to receive 2 install tools
