I recently tested Grip Studs on my vehicle and outdoor gear, and they have exceeded my expectations in terms of performance and durability. Grip Studs are small, screw-in traction devices designed for tires, boots, bicycles, and even snowmobiles, and they deliver exceptional grip on ice, snow, and muddy terrain. Installation was straightforward with the included tool, and the studs held firmly once in place. On my truck tires, they provided a noticeable boost in traction during icy mornings and steep, snow-covered roads. I also added a few to the soles of my winter boots, and the difference in stability on slick sidewalks was immediate. The studs are made of hardened tungsten carbide, which seems to withstand rough surfaces well without wearing down quickly. One of the best features is their versatility—they can be removed and reused season after season, making them a cost-effective solution for winter conditions. They are also much quieter than traditional tire chains and don’t cause noticeable damage to pavement when used responsibly. Overall, I highly recommend Grip Studs for anyone who regularly faces slippery conditions. They offer security, reliability, and peace of mind whether you’re driving, hiking, biking, or working outdoors in the winter.

I have used Grip Studs on my ice resurfacers for years. It has been a cost effective way to extend tire life and improve traction on the ice. The studs stay in the tires quite well, last a long time and do not wear out. We have saved money by not having to replace our tires

I put the Gripstuds on my Kubota 6060 using the recommended pattern on the website. We just had our first severe ice storm, we live one hour from the Canadian border. They are exceptional. I never felt any slip and we have a grade where I plow with them. They are pricey but worth every penny. They are so good that I ordered a set for my Ranger for ice fishing!

I bought two boxes of 100 Model 1300 stud for attachment to my winter road tires on my BMW R 1300 GS Adventure bike. The studs are defintely high quality! Turns out 1 pack of 100 was sufficent for my shop to do a light studding on both the front and back wheels. Bike felt a little slippery/greasy on the first couple of rides on plain tarmac/pavement. WIth every subsequent ride on tarmac there has been improvment in handling as the studs become more fully seated inside the tire. As the sharpness continues to wear, I expect further improvement in the bike's handling while at the same time maintaining an advantage on any ice and snow pockets that I may encounter on the road. I'm a year round rider. This purchase was for my winter tires only, and come April 2026, I will be putting my summer tires back on. No studs.

As a lot of anglers struggle with safe and secure wading options, I know that I have and it has only gotten worse as I approch 70 years of age, I know sounds old. But, I keep up with the young bucks for sure. That being said, I have tried most products out there. Some better than others. But, when your fishing 90% of the time by yourself and on rocky New England rivers this is very important. Heck were all gear heads and having the right gear makes all the differnce with fishing, but saving you from injury or even worse. I have just recently put my new grip studs on and love them. Feel I need some more time in the river to give them a 5+ but so far, the best I've had. PS. Brian was very good and helpful. I appreicated his support. Me to you, get them. I wish I'd had them all along.

I bought these for use in the tracks of my Cat skid steer which are notoriously bad on snow and ice because of the low ground pressure. The grip studs have been installed for almost 8 years now and have worked fantastic. Just bought another set to stud up the tracks on the next machine.

I have been using these studs on my dirt bike for several years. Here in the wet Pacific Northwest winter and spring, old guys like me need all the help we can get with traction. The studs help me ride with the younger bucks. I highly recommend Grip Studs. Great product and great people!

I installed a set of grip studs in a pair of Simms G3s for a week-long trip to a cobblestone riverbed in B.C. The grip studs provided an excellent grip while on the river. All of the studs remained in place as they should. I recommend them.

I absolutely LOVE Grip Studs! I have Simms Freestone wading boots so I ordered the 3000A studs. I ordered two packs and put 21 studs in each boot. I have never felt as stable and secure as I do with these boots and studs. I am a very aggressive wader. I tend to cover a lot of ground and move at a fast pace (sometimes too fast). I also tend to wade through fast water at times. If you have experience wading rivers, you know, inevitably, there will be times where you just have to make a step and pray your foot lands in a good spot or sticks wherever you put it down at. With Grip Studs, those steps feel so much less sketchy and my feet stick wherever I put them more often - even on slick, mossy rocks. Can't rave enough about Grip Studs! If you've never used them or have used everything else under the sun and haven't quite been satisfied, get a pair. I promise you won't regret it!
