“I feel like some of the curriculum is fantastic and others are not as user friendly or the content is not well thought out.”

“It is definitely easier to start with this program but it is very expensive to run. we have used it for some years now and I think the quality of the music has gone down. While some of it is repeated from other years the newer songs are not as singable.”

“My experience with this organization was mixed. We made several license purchases for media items for our VBS program and the process was smooth, prices were reasonable, the media content was Biblical and well-produced. There was, however, a neutral-at-best interaction with Customer Service... when we inquired about licensing a 10-year-old video posted on their YouTube channel, the response was basically that we could not purchase anything that wasn't already on their website (unless we wanted to purchase the entire 2014 VBS program for the one video), but we were welcome to view the video on YouTube (which expressly forbids other than personal use). Certainly not a negative, but it seems like a missed opportunity to provide excellence. Your mileage may vary.”

“I didn’t see a place to review Outback Rock. I will not again use leftover material that grabbed a bit from here and a bit from there for an abbreviated VBS. I hadn’t realized how similar it was and that materials were from other programs. It felt a bit hodgepodge. Did the kids have fun and did God show up? Yes! I definitely value the full and new curriculum more.”

“I'm concerned Group is getting off the mark with their interpretation of Scripture. For example, in Simply Loved Qtr 1 there's a lesson on Noah and the Flood. The daily point is "God Gives Do-Overs". And yes, praise the Lord, he does! However, that is not what this Bible passage is truly about. Everyone except Noah and his family died. Noah escapes bc God declared him righteous, not bc he got a do-over. No one got a do-over. This lesson minimizes sin and the importance of repentance and right living. It's lessons like these that make me pause and wonder where Group is headed and if I should follow. I ADORE the way lessons are interactive but I wish the Bible content was a little deeper and accurate, challenging students and teachers while continuing to hold on to the "learn while playing" concept that I truly believe works for kids (and adults!). I really wish Group would incorporate better questions into their curriculum, giving students opportunity to share the basic facts of the story, checking for listening and memory retention instead of just "how do you feel about that" questions. I want my students to leave Sunday school knowing basic Bible facts, not thinking how they feel about the Bible is all that matters.”

“PLEASE!!!! Bring NEWLY created Pre-Packaged Women's Retreats - there is nowhere else to find the kinds of retreats that you put together. I assure you many churches would purchase them - I have contact many churches regarding their retreats and spent literally hundreds of hours researching, and we are all out here exhausted from trying to recreate "the wheel" from something that worked so well. PLEASE consider creating new Pre-packaged Women's Retreats! With the retreats I would give it a 5. Thank you.”

“We currently use Dig In and it's ok. The first round we purchased was much better then the subsequent. Much of the time, it feels like it is a stretch from the material to the point the lesson is trying to make. We did a lot of research before we chose DigIn and found that other Group curriculum we reveiwed was very weak and light and too much focus on how easy it was for volunteers to pick up and go an less focus on a good lesson.”

“I'm disappointed with music only one song with Scuba themed water behind it I then have to get someone to redo songs and put approperiate background with them, 3 repeat songs. Music hasn't been as good since Railroad. I'll be using ALL different music, example Steven Curtis Chapman Dive, cant understnd words on main theme song Thanks God Sounds a bit disrespectful. Also using Selahs Deep way Down. Cant put missions with games Ive said this so many times they are outside where do you put posters? Again I have to move it to opening, where it should be. Snack time thank God I have someone who can use her imagination and redo. Sticky Scripture top juvenile for my 5 th and 6th grade Im replacing it completely with a missionary story. We'll see how imagination station goes I have mostly teen leaders now they have to teach the imaination thing to they're group. the kid vid station has become too complicated and you guys must no be happy you change it every year. Ive been doing VBS since 1994 I've used group a lot but its changed since Covid I can see that”
